I was reading a news article where they spoke with a Native American (a real one, not a pretend one) and she said white people do this shit all the time; have a DNA test done which shows they may have had a Native American ancestor generations ago then they show up at the tribe and be like "Hey I'm part of your tribe now! So let's discuss that casino money."

She said it's nowhere near that simple, they want you to prove your lineage by tracing your roots back and not just rely on some DNA test, they also want you to show you have been a part of their culture and all that stuff too.

To be fair Warren never claimed she was part of a tribe but she sure as shit played up her Native American "heritage" a hell of a lot. She seems to think this DNA test vindicates her but honestly I think she looks worse now than if she had just ignored the calls for a DNA test. She sought out the person to do the DNA test meaning she got the best possible result she could ask for and it still shows that MAYBE 10 generations ago she had a Native American ancestor. She's a joke at this point.

Cherokee Nation is officially tired of Warren's shit.

The Cherokee Nation responded to the results of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren's DNA test on Monday, arguing that “a DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship.” The response comes after the Democratic senator revealed that, based on tests, she has Native-American ancestry “in the range of 6-10 generations ago.”

"Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America," Cherokee Nation Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. said in a press release.

"Sovereign tribal nations set their own legal requirements for citizenship, and while DNA tests can be used to determine lineage, such as paternity to an individual, it is not evidence for tribal affiliation," Hoskins continued. "Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and wrong. It makes a mockery out of DNA tests and its legitimate uses while also dishonoring legitimate tribal governments and their citizens, whose ancestors are well documented and whose heritage is proven. Senator Warren is undermining tribal interests with her continued claims of tribal heritage."

Warren, took the rare step of sharing DNA test results examining her long-challenged Native-American bloodline. According to the analysis, as first reported by The Boston Globe, “the vast majority” of Warren’s family tree is European and there is “strong evidence” she has Native-American ancestry - albeit anywhere from 1/64 to 1/1,024.

I think Warren has made things worse for Democrats. They now have to decide if they are going to defend a privileged rich white woman whose own DNA test suggests she is 99% white against the "racists" on the right from attacking her Native American "heritage", or if they are going to defend the minorities they claim to be in the business of defending.
