    I like the asian store because,they sell cuts of meat I cant get at the supermarket. Things like pork belly. Hell, its worth a trip just for the pork.

    Don't buy a set. They're bullshit value.

    You need exactly 3 knives to operate in a home kitchen: a chef's knife, a paring knife, and a serrated bread knife. Some would argue for a boning knife, but I bone just fine without one.

    I really dig Wusthof and Henckels stuff. Globals are nice if you can deal with their handles. Shun's excellent if you're a fuckin' weab.
