This appears to be meaner than I expected, I thought it just removed spells, but it does damage too. Unfortunately, now I'm in jail. Here's a sample of 2 waves of the rod.

You wave your iron and bronze rod at Arede.

The silvery luminescence fades from around Arede.

As you sing, you feel a faint resonating vibration from the dark urnon key in your hand, and you learn something about it...

This is a small item, under a pound. You tremble and can barely hold onto the dark urnon key. You estimate it must be worth over a hundred million silvers! You can also tell that there is some type of metal in the structure of the dark urnon key.

You sense a faint aura of magic around the dark urnon key. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the key is to open locks.

As you sing, you sense resonant vibrations coming from the key, matching pitch with yours. Soon a harmony is achieved, and a brilliant display begins to materialize before you...

Dark magic swirls in chaotic patterns before your eyes. They begin to coalesce around the key, shifting and pulling at the very material it is made of. For a brief moment, the key turns molten, pliable in your hands, then suddenly flashes bright, as if full of energy!




9. a enruned gold key - same as above, just not fancy urnon and the word a instead of an - 13,000 BS

This is a self charging item that opens any normal box regardless of trap or lock difficulty. It does not open things like enruned and such.

Once you use it, it has to charge 12 hours.

Here's an example of my little bard opening a box with no lockpicking skill. He's opened Lost Soul boxes for me with it before.

You hear a click as it unlocks.

You gather the remaining 1693 coins from inside your brass coffer.

Droughtman says, "These brooches will check on your health regularly, and if they find you stunned, they will unstun you. They will do this 40 times, and then they will crumble. You can activate or deactivate them by RUBing them, if you don't want to risk using charges. They drain a small amount of your mana while worn, and active."
