Democrats just proved "we gotta save the planet!" is just a political ploy

Part of the Democrats' so called "Build Back Better" plan allows for a $4,500 incentive for electric vehicles but ONLY if the cars are built in the US by union labor.

I guess saving the planet can take a backseat while Democrats play politics and pay off their union donors with taxpayer dollars.

Democrat politicians: We gotta save the world! We're all gonna die in 10 years!
Democrat voters: OMG! How do we save the world?
Democrat politicians: We gotta get everyone off of using fossil fuels such as oil and instead get everyone in an electric vehicle which would require fossil fuels such as natural gas and coal to charge!
Democrat voters: Wait...what?
Democrat politicians: Just trust us!
Democrat voters: OKAY! So let's just give taxpayer money away to people who buy an electric vehicle!
Democrat politicians: Not so fast! It's gotta be a car built in the US AND built with union labor!
Democrat voters: But...you said we would all die within 10 years unless we get everyone into an electric vehicle so shouldn't we just give a tax break to any car they purch..
Democrat politicians: Trust us! We're saving lives!
Democrat voters: OKAY!

This is so tiresome and ridiculous.

There are valid criticisms to be made of this move, like that it's specifically targeting Tesla because Musky Deddy has been so vehemently opposed to allowing his workers to unionize.

But I guess we'll talk about your silly little thing that you think is a gotcha moment because you have to score points against the enemy team.

No, the party that leans more in favor of unionization, requiring unionization in one small part of its carbon reduction plan, does not mean that they do not actually care about climate change.

If the rebate program only applies to vehicles made in the US and made by union labor.. they don't care about climate change.

But that's nothing new... it's not about climate change... it's about working their agenda.

Our country needs to stop hamstringing ourselves... as if we're the main cause for pollution in the environment. We should just keep doing what we're doing - not making extreme adjustments.

A solid 50 year long-term plan to slowly overhaul to a hybrid/nuclear system should be achievable... but not the current political money grift that is occurring (mainly pushed by Democrat Party, but Republicans are at fault as well).

The US is doing an amazing job given our quality of life... our Politicians need to stop demonizing it's citizens with this bullshit.

Leverage should be applied to the other 83 countries on the top of that list before yelling about what US citizens should sacrifice.

And unless everyone wants to give up everything on this list + more.. they need to shut the fuck up about "fossil fuels"... fucking hypocrites and morons...

I must've fallen asleep and missed something of Republicans are now blatantly criticising the creation of domestic jobs. Yes, they're union jobs, yes the rebates are a federal subsidy to offset the lack of competitiveness in labor costs versus overseas baby mills. But those employees in Bangladesh don't pay taxes, nor do jobs overseas keep Americans employed.

But if I actually thought for a single moment that we were all gonna die unless we all bought an electric vehicle I would want the government to encourage people to buy any electric vehicle, regardless of where it was made or if it was made via union labor or not.

If the reason for the rebate is to get more people into electric cars and to save the planet from climate change.. then putting restrictions on it makes it look like that is just a secondary or tertiary benefit.
