Innocent woman arrested for refusing mask mandates for her children

A mother has been charged for supposedly "threatening" a school board after she told the school board she wasn't going to have her kids comply with a mandatory mask requirement.

The supposed threat in question: "And I will bring every single gun - loaded and ready to ... I, I will call every."

Clearly she meant this figuratively, as in she will be prepared to push back against a mandatory mask mandate. Just like when someone says they are "locked and loaded" they don't typically mean they have a gun and are ready to fire, the idiom just means they are ready.

But yet this mother has been slandered as a terrorist and that she supposedly threatened to shoot up a school, which she did not.

I'm sure at the very least she can count on Bhaalizmo's support because after all he thinks only people who are cavernous vaginas would think this was an actual threat.

Schools absolutely don't fuck around with threats, except that one in Michigan who released the kid back to class with a gun.

So, in your mind, you're the gatekeeper to who means what they say and who doesn't. It's like saying a bomb in an airport, it ends in swift action.

She did call the cops herself. Don't see anyone stating she's a terrorist. What's with y'all wanting to be the victim when you fuck up?

The most likely meaning of her remarks was metaphorical. Thus, she should not be convicted of any crime. It was nevertheless a dumb thing to say. As noted in the article linked by Tgo01, the government had to spend additional money for security at the school following her remarks, because some people might have misinterpreted her remarks to mean that she was inviting them to join her in an armed assault on the school.

People who shoot up schools are not rational. The police had no possible way to know from her remarks whether or not she was rational. She certainly didn't sound rational. More worryingly, her highly publicized remarks were surely heard by some truly irrational people. That's why I'm always careful about what I say.

Surprise surprise, the man who looks like a giant hypocrite isn’t going to weigh in on this story and is instead going to attack me for posting the story after he himself downplayed the comment he sent me which was way more of a threat than what this woman said.
