Dayumn. So many fine ass bitches in GS now.
No, seriously. You all look great. I am so pleased to see not only fashion but just common sense when it comes to dressing characters, is starting to play into the larger population. I only hope little Uniana can keep up because you all look simply marvelous.
And just a quick thanks to those peeps who were in the Wavedancer chat, you guys were just awesome in helping everyone with their ideas. Lots of love for you all.
P.S. I think we should start an alteration thread about "How to not be THAT GUY"

All evil people wear black. I know this because I do it as well.

Haven't had her around lately and I feel the need to stir up some trouble.
I know its got a lot of linen in it but hey, its getting warm out and linen breathes!
You see Nalina.
She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Tyesteron D'ahranal.
She appears to be mature and very tall. She has intense, darkly-lashed pale citrine eyes and faultless china-white skin. She has waist-length, thick charcoal black hair pulled over one shoulder and gathered loosely with a delicately carved ivory haircomb. She has an angular face, a classical nose and slightly pointed ears. She has a series of small scars about either side of her slender throat.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing an austere silver collar, a silver-clasped woven straw purse, a natural linen robe gathered into a narrow pleated train at the back, a high-necked bodice of dark honey muslin fastened up the back with square golvern buttons, a sleeveless natural cotton shirt, a loose-weave raw linen tote, some drawstring pale linen pants, and some backless sheer silk sandals.

Currently I'm wear nothing and sitting in hot humid room on a leather chair.

Okay, just because I have fashion sense out side of GS, does not mean I can dress myself in GS (or maybe I can!) I'm kind of going for an imposing/military type look for Arkans. Judge it. Spare no words. Tell me what I should add/remove/ or whatever. Please give items that would help. If I'm okay, tell me that too.
You see Lord Arkans Z'dehn.
He appears to be a Faendryl Dark Elf.
He appears to be middle-aged and taller than average. He has piercing hazel eyes and fair skin. He has short, straight black hair. He has an angular face and a sharp nose.
He has a black onyx stud in the upper ridge of his left ear, a crescent moon tattoo on his neck, and a thorny rose tattoo on his arm.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a black diamond studded mithril earcuff, a pair of black-tinted glasses, a stately black overcoat, an elven forged infantry shield, a crystal amulet, a sturdy leather sidepack, an onyx-spiked bronze bracer, some fingerless dark leather gloves, a diamond and vultite wedding band, some stiff black infantry leathers, some weathered black wool pants, and some leather infantry boots.
This heavy garment is designed to withstand the hardships of road or battle, yet maintain a regal air befitting a court visit. Less black so much as void of color, it is sewn of thick wool reinforced with black leather cross-straps. Secured with a small silver-clasped cinch at the waist, the carefully fitted coat is near floor-length and has straight-cut sleeves. A stiff upturned collar lends credence to the remarkable fashion sense of the tailor.
Roughly the size of a full-grown elf, this shield is meant to protect the wearer during combat. Various scratches and dents show signs of use, yet the Faendryl crest in the center remains undamaged. Worn by means of adjustable leather straps, the shield also has a slit at eye level on a tall elf to provide means to see the enemy. On the back of the shield, several small, painted Ashrim crests are each marked out with a large X to add additional testament to the prowess of the original owner. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
This leather sidepack has obviously seen its share of combat. Though the sidepack bears several scratches and slash marks, the leather itself still appears to be in good condition. The crest of the House Faendryl is stamped between two dull silver buttons evidently designed to keep the leather flap of the sidepack closed. It is meant to be worn by a leather strap slung over the shoulder.
Simple, dark, and austere, the leather armor is designed to strike fear into the heart of an opponent. The leather has been brought to a high sheen, lending an oppresive air to the wearer. Two polished silver skulls adorn each epaulet, and the left pauldron sports a single white sigil. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
The pants follow simple lines, while a slightly tarnished scarlet pentacle fashioned of vultite sits at the waistline, a red-rimmed heliodor set in the center. The pentacle motif continues down the outsides of the legs, embroidered in crimson silk, while the legs taper until the ankles are slim enough to be tucked into a pair of boots.
These black leather boots were made with fierce combat in mind. Made of heavy reinforced leather and covered by a thin layer of chain that drapes from the top and covers the durable laces, they are obviously able to withstand even the most bitter fighting. On the inside, the boots are padded to provide the wearer with comfort. The toe of the boot is capped with vultite which gives additional protection. A small Faendryl crest is emblazoned on the side of the boots.
Arkans backround and role-playing (in the simplest terms, nobody wants a history) is closest related to an SS officer. I took my wardrobe idea from them just because they look snazy. Give me you input.

Feature alter and amulet holder.
-
What kind of feature alter and type of amulet holder would you suggest?
- Arkans
-
Anything that isn't just a crystal amulet. I can't stand wearing them usually, so if yer COL and disciplined enough never to rub it, just get an amulet altered.
As for features, anything that isn't stupid vague, or cascading, or Emo. Something that will distinguish you from someone who isn't from the features Pavillion.
-
I have absolutely no creative talent for any of that. :(
I most likely would just remove the amulet as I never use it (even though I'm in Voln), but thanks for the heads up.

Eyes are a good basic feature alter to get, usually. I would try to think of what type of emotion or attitude you would most likely see in Arkans' eyes. That can go a long ways to making your character distinctive and help with some RP as well.
