It's bizarro world. It really is.

Here's some more encouragement for you to do something. This comes from Jennifer Rubin, the conservative writer who's anti-trump.
Quote:
We know Trump embraces dictators, attacks allies, assaults law enforcement, undermines the rule of law and lies nonstop. Evidently that’s not enough to arouse the ire of most Republicans. However, among all of the mind-numbingly awful things the GOP has countenanced, none comes close to the family separation policy. There surely must be a wide, diverse coalition of Americans who recoil at a practice so distasteful — a coalition that transcends class, race, gender and ideology and is backed by Catholic, Baptist and Jewish clergy (among others) who have denounced the practice as evil. These Americans will have the opportunity in November to throw out politicians who cheer the monstrous policy of child separation.
If you can't prove 2 + 2 = 4 without saying "Google it" then this really does explain a lot.
You've been whining about Trump "creating" the policy of separating children at the border for the past 48 hours straight. Don't pretend your only complaint is Trump's zero tolerance policy or that is what Gelston was referring to when he called you out.
So you recognize the US "separating children from their parents" isn't a new thing under Trump? Awesome. Glad to see you're finally seeing the light.
Also everyone should cheer zero tolerance when it comes to enforcing our laws. Do you really want one person to make the decision to not enforce our laws? Stop it. Stop it right now!
I don't give a flying fuck if a sitting president wants to utilize his right to free speech.
Obama spent 8 years referring to Republicans with harsh rhetoric and telling people who to vote for. He then, as sitting president, campaigned hard for the person he wanted to succeed him and told people who to vote for. But you're going to sit here and shed crocodile tears because Trump told some people to go on strike?
It's shit like this why no one respects the Democrat party anymore. Bunch of inane hypocrites.
It ain't no riddle Tg. You're obfuscating because you're losing this point of contention.
Yes, I am complaining about that. It's a fucked up unnecessary policy. They're looking at land right now to build out more detention camps too. One article quoted a figure of 5,000 for the number of child migrants they were looking to house. For now they are in old Wal Marts and other detention centers.
I see that you are trying to establish a certain simple framing of a complex issue because you argue in bad faith. I will respond anyway. You know as well as I do that the executive branch has a lot of latitude in enforcement. I do not want a king which is what you're alluding to, I think, and that's also why I want to see republicans step up and slap some checks and balances on the president. It's their duty.
Did Obama hurt your feelings? Is that it? You're not alone. I hear the same things from lots of people. Especially when they can not defend their leader trump. They will say "What about Obama! He called me a racist." You still have to reconcile with the anti-Americanism of the trump movement and incessant, constant stream of lies he puts out. You need to account for this. You and all the other faux patriots who are working furiously to rationalize his lying.
I ain't losing shit. If you need me to backup anything I say I can without saying "Google it." Even something as simple as 2 + 2 = 4.
So what's the solution? Oh, right, tell the world that if they cross our borders illegally with a child they will be treated with kid gloves. Gee, what could POSSIBLY go wrong with that situation?
You don't want a king? Great. Then you want a president who enforces laws that Congress passes. You're making a lot of progress today, cwolff. Keep it up and we just might make a Republican out of you yet.
Nice deflection. Simple fact of the matter is Obama literally told people who to vote for to replace him, something far more serious than the president telling people they should go on strike, and you didn't give a single damn.
To be fair neither did I, well not in the sense that I thought Obama needed to be locked up or the left needed to rise up and demand some change. But then again I'm not the one complaining that the President of the United States of America loses his free speech once he enters into office. That would be you. No, my mistake, you're arguing REPUBLICAN presidents need to lose their free speech rights.
You're not very good at this, cwolff. Like, at all.
You're excellent at changing the subject. I'm assuming that by now you've caught up and realize that we've been talking about the new trump policy to separate kids from their parents.
Nope, don't want a king, don't want an authoritarian, don't want a weak congress afraid to exercise their duty. I've been a republican. Maybe I'd still be one but the party seems to have veered drastically away from what it once was.
You seem to think it's illegal or immoral for a President to support his party on the campaign trail? That's quite odd. A president attacking the free press, encouraging strikes against one specific newspaper and also promoting another news organization is disgraceful. As for your "You're arguing REPUBLICAN...." blah blah blah is utter bullshit. He's free to act as stupid as he wants. It's irresponsible and unfortunate that he chooses to and you should speak out against it.
