If an officer gives you a direct order, doing whatever else you're doing is considered resisting. "He was just walking to his car" can turn into a whole lot of things really quickly. You have to understand that, right?

Yeah, walking to your car totally warrants getting shot several times in the back.
You know how absolutely fucked that sounds, right?
I'm not playing this idiotic "deny facts" game with you, it's commonly evident by their actions.
Stop being a pussy and actually watch this video this time:

Right. "Commonly evident by their actions." Which actions are those again? Showing up to march? Yet when "Antifa" attacks officers and starts fires and terrorizes residents on a nightly basis for going on 3 months now they're just "largely peaceful protesters."
It sounds fucked to you, because in your mind, that person who just got shot never had any intent to do wrong. Because you wouldn't do wrong, right? You wouldn't jump in your car and try and run any of those officers over. You wouldn't have a pistol under the seat and start opening fire.
You know how many officers have been killed at incidents where they had someone resisting and the person did pull out a gun? Do you think maybe that's why there's no messing around when it comes to resisting? Now put it in a high pressure situation where you've told the person over and over to stop moving and get away from the vehicle. Yeah sorry dude, you're getting taken down one way or another. Better to be judged by 13 than carried by 11.
You know, in a war ravaged areas, armed conflicts etc etc. the stance is usually, do not fire, unless fired upon.
Yet we can’t adopt those same policies in our OWN country, against civilians? If they can do it in times of war. Not sure why we can’t have that same principles in our own country.
I've seen a lot of people on the internet repeating this exact same talking point. Can anyone who actually served in the military in a war zone comment on this?
Are you really only supposed to fire if you're fired at first? I imagine there is a lot more to it than that.
This sounds like people who claim the military is trained to shoot to wound whereas police officers are trained to shoot to kill.
There are a ton of ways to navigate that situation without shooting someone point-blank in the back multiple times, Christ.
I have no idea what that person was thinking or doing, or what their intent was. And believe it not, I'm not without sympathy for the high-pressure situations that cops get thrust into -- it sucks and I do get that, but that approach is not one that should be condoned.
