Like when the connected Italian guy walks into a new shop and is like "It would sure be a shame if this place somehow got burned to the ground. Are you interested in protection?"
That's also just "asking," right?

Forcing a company to do something and asking a company to do something are completely different.
Here’s a hint, telling means they don’t have a choice, while asking means they do.
So please tell me where the US government FORCED, Twitter to censor anyone and gave them no choice. Because both parties asked Twitter to censor and ban accounts and Twitter didn’t comply most of the time.
So show me where the Us government, issued veiled threats.
You can make all of these accusations and assumptions, yet none of you have shown any proof that the US government forced Twitter to remove post or accounts.
If the US government did, in fact, force Twitter to remove accounts or ban people, can you show me a lawsuit someone has filed against the US government? Can you show me anything?
Thousands of accounts were silenced.
Just admit you're ok with silencing the people you disagree with. The ignorance game is unbecoming of someone that wants to be considered an adult.
We know the Biden laptop articles were falsely silenced under the fake Russia bullshit. We know had it not been silenced it would have changed the outcome of the election.
Your TDS has poisoned any part of you that may have resembled a real liberal. Now you are attached at the hip with pedophiles.
So in your eyes, anything short of "We are the US government and we're totally documenting it in text that if you don't do our bidding we'll fuck you up!!!!!" = "the government didn't do anything wrong" over an issue that until you read a Rolling Stone (lol) piece like a half hour ago you somehow knew nothing about and were never on social media, primarily when people were seeing it happen in real time?
Does that sounds about right?

You could be right with DeSantis publicly stating that Disney’s outspoken objections to the so-called Don’t Say Gay bill was the motivation behind his actions. Not sure really and we’ll see how that civil suit you mentioned plays out, but legally it may have been unwise for DeSantis to state that as a motivating factor.
I will also say it’s unwise on the part of Disney (even though it’s perfectly legal) to take a firm position on a highly divisive political matter. It used to be understood in this country that business doesn’t mix well with politics & religion. It’s better for the bottom line to not talk about such things & pissing off half the country. Disney is not the first or only company to do that (looking at you Anheuser-Busch) but they are starting to learn this lesson as made obvious by their change in leadership awhile back. Get woke, go broke & all that…

Over 150+ companies have spoken out against the Florida bill and other bills.
Disney faced retaliatory strikes because they are based in Florida and DeSantis has his war on woke.
AB faced backlash both on the political and public side, but none of the other companies have. I don’t see companies having any problems except when they get targeted.
But I agree, Disney should have just shut the fuck up, but they were also facing internal pressure, and this war with DeSantis is not going to hurt Disney’s bottom line.
What’s the issue? Can’t find proof? There is direct proof DeSantis did it, found it easily, it was plastered all over the media. I mean if he’s fucking stupid enough to admit it himself and put it in his memoir, all the while you and everyone else on the right say all Democratic politicians are stupid as fuck, I don’t see why you are having such a hard time finding anything?
But for some reason, you and everyone else can’t seem find a single shred of evidence that definitively links, the US government silencing people on social media? Seems strange in this day and age, almost like it doesn’t exist. Not a single conservative politician, or employee at these social media companies came forward, not one democrat slipped up. Not a single one. Absolutely nothing. Not even one single anonymous, disgruntled or conservative employee saying “I feel like the US government forced us to censor the right”
You saw it play out in real time? You saw the inner workings of Twitter and other social media companies, and how they go about censoring content? You work for Twitter? Facebook?
Twitter said the government never forced them to censor anything, there is no proof, not one single piece of evidence, but because the right thinks it’s happening, it must be true? Twitter must be lying… because? They are a leftist woke company? Is that your reasoning?
You make some grand accusations because it appears to you and others on the right, that the right is being censored. Perception is a powerful tool that’s easily manipulated. And because you think that, everyone else who doesn’t think that, is 100% wrong! So how do we solve this? It’s simple, evidence, which you and everyone else on the right seem to lack.
You are the ones that are making these accusations, it’s your job to prove it, which you can’t do at all except for what you think “appears” to have happened.
How can you be so obtuse?
