Super sad news about your puppy. Cancer is the worst, whether it be in an animal, or a human. I've been watching my cat sleep 2-3 hours extra every day, and finally came to the realization that she's getting older. Also sad news.

It has progressed rather quickly so I'm afraid she doesn't have too long. We have agreed that at her age, chemo and surgery just wouldn't be fair and wouldn't offer her much more time. But she is my best friend and I'm happy the second half of her life has been much better than the first.

Just keep thinking of the good stuff. I think dogs take such direct cues from our emotions the kindest thing we can do for them when they're dying is pretend it's their birthday everyday.
