Lil' late in my response, Delias, but...

Digipen is a great program. It is offered free of charge as part of the curriculum at the alternative education school in my school district. Kids get to intern over the summer at Microsoft and Nintendo here in the Seattle area. Some of them walk right into jobs out of the program (as you probably know). It's pretty badass. Keep looking out for FREE programs offered through the school district!
