JK Rowling of Harry Potter fame so wanted to be in the "woke" club that she bashed Trump at every chance she got and she retroactively went back through the characters in her books and made them gay, black, Asian, trans, you name it she did it because she wanted to appease the ever "tolerant" left.
But Rowling has fallen out of favor recently with the left. Her crime? She said a man can never become a woman. THE HORROR!
So now the left that she has spent years trying to build up street cred with is accusing her of being a transphobe, a bigot, and, I shit you not here, a racist. Yes, she is now a racist somehow because she thinks a man can't become a woman.
There are even people now saying her books were never that good to begin with. Funny how she was the best author of the best book series ever when she was saying all of the right things, but she said one thing wrong and now her books have always sucked.
I will never understand why people try to appease this crazy crowd to begin with. The minute you give in to their demands your life is basically ruined because you have to move further and further to the left with each passing day and the minute you step out of line, the minute you say something they don't like, the minute you stop your forward march towards more leftness madness, they will turn on you and accuse you of being the worst of the worst. You are not just a "bad" person now, you are the worst, because they have to make an example out of you to show others they too have to stay in line or they could be next up on the chopping block.
To be honest it explains Back so much. He got into bed with the crazy and now he is literally terrified of getting on their bad side. Well that and Back is just an idiot.
People should give less shits about what other people think. I don't care that someone is gay, trans, black, white, drug addicts, religious, whatever they want. I don't give a shit so long as no one is hurt in them being themselves.
When I pick up a book to read, I don't go "Oh noes, it has gay people in it" and stop reading. If its a good book, I read it. If its a good movie or show, I watch it. Who fucking cares what others think.
