Count me in on the "fuck this two day work week" thing. Apparently the work doesn't magically stop piling up when you take Monday and Tuesday off. I've got an assload of shit to do, and I think I'll just not kill myself and work Sat/Sunday since we're not raiding.
On top of that I had to take like a 6 am train from Baltimore just to get into the city by 9 AM and go directly to work.
Yeah a lot of my clients aren't in the US so I've got a voicemail box full of things to correct. The best is one client wants a program written by tomorrow because they forgot to tell me about it a month ago. Good luck with that.
Gotta love those. I work in the civil engineering industry, and we'd gotten a set of comments back on a plan set we're putting together, but they were comments from a lawyer (which we generally disregard as pure crap from the uninformed). Found out this morning that this particular law firm has the full authority to approve or deny the funds to construct the project. All of a sudden, every word on those asinine comments is gospel, and we're informed they need them addressed by the end of the week.Quote:

Yeah, I heard a report calling for 108 here on Saturday...not heat index, straight temperature. Lord only knows what that will translate into.
