That is a very good point, SS is not really an entitlement since you pay into it and in theory it should be self sufficient by people paying into it, of course, it was never intended to be what it has become hence the reason it will become insolvent unless it is continued to be bailed out or there are some changes. I am not sure what the answer is, but I know it is not all one or the other. Someone making $100K plus per year should probably receive a graduated amount less for income over a certain dollar amount they make in income and by the same token I think there should be a mandatory review by panels of doctors not on the government payroll for all the people currently on SS disability to determine if they warrant being on it.
