The Republican led House wants some steep budget cuts. I do hope Congress can work it out and meet in the middle. The Republicans have put forth a plan. It's up to someone in the Biden Administration to wake up Sleepy Joe and let him know the ball is in his court.

They’re that serious about reducing the deficit spending for sure. They have a plan, passed a bill, and McCarthy has made every effort to meet & negotiate with Biden. I hope they can work something out.

Umm, passing the debt ceiling increase without attachments is a plan. It's the most sensible plan actually. Republicans trying to force budget cuts by holding the debt ceiling increase hostage isn't.

"We do not want to decrease our spending!" has always been a very effective fiscal plan to stop increasing your debt.

Republican logic: Cut IRS enforcement of existing tax laws and cut spending further to offset the loss of revenue! Paying taxes bad.

Everyone else: -puzzled- How about we collect taxes which are due and not cut as much to balance the budget?
