All of the above, probably. People move on from GS, and PC has gotten significantly chuddier in recent years. I think Discord has always had a discrete audience though.

I think GS as a whole has chilled the fuck out. We all used to be younger back when these forums were kicking, so you'd have a lot more complaints and fights and shit being posted here. The average age of GS is quite a but higher now.

Let's get real, when you do WHO and see 600 people on you have to figure at least 100 of those people are just alt accounts, probably 200+ and possibly even as high as 300+.

10 years ago when 600 people were on it wasn't as nearly many alt accounts.

When GS fgets down to 1 player with 400+ alt accounts, we can finally play GS as it was meant to be played

The way to play GS is to reactivate during the free months they hand out periodically, use all your LTE boosts you've accrued, then immediately cancel your sub.

I have a couple characters with 600+ LTEs banked, game basically plays itself while I'm away.

498 characters are logged on right now, of which 22 are mine, meaning 4.5% of the characters logged on right now are all my characters.

Some times in the wee hours of the morning I account for almost 10% of the characters logged on.

I wouldn't doubt at all if 30-50% of the characters logged on at any given time are alts controlled by the same person.

So yeah, there may be a similar number of characters playing the game now as there were 10-12 years ago, but the number of players is dramatically less.

Holy shit.. how do you even keep track of 22 different accounts up at once???

I get having a hobby, but whew!
