A few times a year some hoof trimmers come by to trim their hooves and tusks and all that, and the way it's done is you have to grab them by their legs and flip them over on their back, and they go nuts through pretty much all of it, as if they're being gutted or something. Nothing is actually hurting them, they just go nuts in almost situation that wasn't their idea. Even picking them up when they were small enough to pick up, they'd usually go nuts, which most pigs will. Pigs tend to freak out if their feet aren't touching the ground unless it was their idea, i.e. lying down to take a nap.
It literally sounds like a slaughterhouse while their hooves are being trimmed. Thankfully it only takes a few minutes and then they're fine after. The brown one is usually mad at everyone for the rest of the day and won't come back inside, but once that blows over he's fine. Drama queens.
They do get a little more chilled out with it each time though (the 3rd pig doesn't even seem bothered by it anymore), so it's not nearly as bad as it was the first couple times, but the sound is still horrifying as fuck, especially the first time since I had no idea what to expect. I don't see how anyone can work in a slaughterhouse and not want to kill themselves every day, at least the ones that treat their animals like shit for most/all of their lives, which unfortunately are probably most slaughterhouses.
TLDR: Yes.
