I'm not even saying you're wrong, I just want you to provide a transcript or video where he made such a qualification, because even far left wing publications who openly praise Communism such as NPR are saying the general contradicted what Biden said.
If that's all you took from it and absolutely ignored the testimony indicating increased risk to life, unjustifiable cost for little change in circumstances and testimony none of them advocated a permanent stay, then I can understand your ignorance. But you're wrong.
Furthermore, do you legitimately care that we left Afghanistan beyond trying to drum up as much political opposition to President Biden as possible? Republican Senators seem to care nothing about Afghanistan beyond trying to make Biden look like he lied. Fox News and the Examiner CERTAINLY care about nothing more than misquoting as much as possible to make the President look bad.
But I'm curious why you think we should be in Afghanistan. The military has said there's no justification for it. The elected Afghanistan government stole more money than they used to help their people and is now in exile. The Afghanistan army surrendered by in large without resistance and disappeared with American weapons and gear.
So what exactly is in it for Dreaven? Is this anything more than the Taliban adhere to radical Islamic beliefs? Because of its Christian good, Muslim bad, I'm going to be severely disappointed.
