Maybe you should stick to deflecting and cherry-picking.

At least I don't defend violent people on a daily basis by insisting they are peaceful, then let slip that they weren't so peaceful all along, only to engage in the worst instance of gaslighting I have ever seen to cover up the fact that I just fucked up and said the quiet part out loud.
But you do you, Bhaalizmo. You're doing great, pal!

You sure do make a lot of presumptuous statements.
Let me state something for future reference: I don't have much of a problem with a majority of the conservatives on this forum. I understand that in tiny mutual spaces such as this one, giving people a little leniency and treating one other with some modicum of mutual respect (even if it's done flippantly) is important... but that has to work both ways.
I may not agree with said conservatives on most political matters, but I can take valid criticism of my opinions or statements when such is justly applied. Any discussion that I pursue or take part in serves the goal of seeing beyond my own perspective, so as not to limit it to people who share only my views; sometimes, even people I disagree with make well-argued and valid points worth considering, and I think many here realize that as well. Dissecting the logic of something or calling into question the veracity of a statement that seems questionable is sometimes beneficial to conversation, but constantly nit-picking over stupid shit and being intellectually dishonest are little more than misplaced attempts at validation.
I don't care if you agree with me or not, but if you initiate -- or even come at -- every single conversation with "Dumb fucking Dems, look how stupid they are" or "Hur hur, Libtards are destroying our country" while whining about being called names, then you clearly have no actual interest in conversing with people... and you can fuck right off.
Ummmm, no. Would you like to make up more lies, these are old.

Protesters in Portland, Oregon, continued to challenge law enforcement officials over the weekend, even though the Department of Homeland Security has begun drawing down its presence in the city.
“More than 150 rounds were fired and one woman was shot in Portland on Friday night while protesters on Saturday – some of whom appeared to impersonate press – threw glass bottles and shined lasers at city police officers sent to quell the nighttime unrest witnessed for more than two months straight,” Fox News reported.
Some members of the media seemed to tun out of the violence in Portland after DHS’s Wednesday decision to turn over the responsibility of protecting Portland’s federal courthouse to Oregon State Police and the Portland Police Department, insisting that tensions had calmed to the point where a law enforcement presence was no longer required.
The New York Times’ Nicholas Kristof claimed, Sunday that “peace” had broken out.
Saturday night, though, Portland Police’s blotter notes that demonstrators “shined bright lights at Portland police officers standing outside the building, directed lasers at the officers, and eventually began throwing glass bottles at them.”
Clashes also appeared to break out between “anti-fascist” rioters, intent on destabilizing the situation, and Black Lives Matter protesters, who chastised the black-clad demonstrators and, in some cases, drove them out of larger, peaceful protests. . .
