Whaaaaaat?? How did you get any of those feature alterations approved?
Nice red rep I snagged for that, too:
"For a guy who spends all his time judging others for IG shit, you pick the crappiest most retarded names ever. Myke, Daarthiir, could you add a few extra letters in there for no reason?"
Never claimed Myke had a good name, was my first character. Daarthiir has a backstory (character depth, try it some time), tied to some susperstitions (Note, he's from Trauntor) and the portion of history relevant to Despana (and specifically her general). Maybe you should read some game lore, it might help you not be so butt-hurt over apparently having been judged for having a shitty character or shitty RP. I hear you get better results, or in the least some feigned remorse to shut you up (if not an actual apology) when you have the balls to talk to someone and not hide behind negative rep and quiet crying at your keyboard.
Anyways, Rojo, not sure how most of them got approved, I just come up with a design I like and roll the dice. Sometimes they get approved, sometimes they get shot down. The tongue likely only got approved due to something that happened during the current plot arc surrounding Lornon, where the character's public mutilation of his own tongue was part of a Luukosian ritual. A GM was on-hand adding to the ritual with messaging so it might've just been a "right place, right time" for getting the forked tongue made into a real feature alter.
If I make it to the wedding tonight...
You see Arbeia Sudha the Peddler.
She appears to be a Half-Elf of the Tehir tribes.
She is taller than average and appears to be in the bloom of youth. She has sultry dark eyes and sun-darkened bronze skin. She has long, thick obsidian black hair with henna-hued highlights framing her face. She has a thin nose and slightly pointed ears.
She has a tiny flawless diamond stud in her right nostril, an elaborate floral and vine tattoo in reddish-brown ink on her hands, a tattooed swirl of Tehir symbols on her wrist, and a primitive spiral tattoo on her ankle.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a slender braided silver forehead chain dangling a tiny cerulean glimaerstone teardrop, some belled silver-chained earrings, a billowy ahmdir blue burnoose of rough-spun silk, a moonlight silver satin half-bodice, an indigo-hued exotic silk wrap-dress embellished with intricate metallic beadwork, a trio of silver bracelets, a silver tasseled sack, and some beaded open-toed sandals.
Sandals have a show description that I've posted before. Earrings are scripted.
He's from Plat. In general, they seem to have looser rules there in some ways due to the small community. The GMs are more in tune with what the players are doing with their characters and can more easily judge if what the player wants for the character is within a doable framework. I guess?
I wish I still had a full log, I have a few clips though:
3rd Person: Daarthiir suddenly looks a bit stiff and his movements are slightly awkard as he gestures with his hands. His mouth opens and a voice not his own escapes, speaking in an ancient dialect. To your horror, a demon sudden appears in the area, apparently at Daarthiir's bidding!
>
1st Person: You suddenly feel as if you are not yourself and every movement is of another's will. Cold fear washes over your skin as you feel your mouth moving of its own accord and words escaping your mouth of a foreign tongue. A few stilted gestures of your hand and a demon appears at what appears to be your bidding! A deep hiss enters your mind, murmuring, "You have sssserved well..."
(Sometime later the abyran'ra is killed, and Daarthiir gets ganked at the Luukosian shrine. Luukos rezzes him and he winds up in TSC. He pulls the knife thrown at him out of the wound and begins to form a ritual in the blood, and carves his tongue up. I wish I'd have gotten more captures, but here's a few)
3rd Person: As the globs of blood splatter on the ground from Daarthiir's mouth, they disappear in puffs of viridian smoke.
1st Person: Blood pours forth from your tongue as it throbs painfully.
(and a couple more 1st person captures as the ritual kept going)
1st Person: The clouds part above your head, bathing you in crimson moonlight as you rest your face against the ground.
1st Person: A sibilant hissing fills the square, rising and falling in time with your chants.
...And just to keep this thread on topic, here's my bard's updated outfit. I just need to work on his alternate (not-gritty) outfit during EG and then post that up too.
You see Lord Evandre Solazo.
He appears to be a Human.
He is average height. He has tired, haunted absinthe-hued eyes and lightly scar-touched fair skin. He has chest-length, feathery whitish blonde hair cut in an angular fashion, the errant and unruly locks framing his face in careful disarray. A series of warding sigils and religious insignia have been tattooed, burnt, and carved into the underside of his left wrist.
His face is concealed by a coiled series of yellowed mummy-shroud wrappings.
He has a red-scaled dragon tattoo on his chest, and a rough bogwood pipe clenched between his teeth.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a black leather tri-corn hat set with a pair of foggy grey plumes, a fogged leaden glass pendant, a gritty grey-black leather jacket, a dark eahnor harp pin, an open-cuffed ivory linen tunic, some dusty grey double leathers, a warded ragged leather bracer, a heavily notched rawhide belt, a rusted iron spyglass, a low-slung leather treasure satchel, an absinthe-hued glass flask with a bulbous spherical bottom, a pair of worn-in darkened leather pants, a thin matte steel boot-chain, and some weathered black leather boots.
Pin makes unlimited: As you rub your eahnor harp pin, a pale mist swirls sinuously down your arm and coalesces into the form of a spectral harp with lustrous eahnor strings in your left hand.
His sonic set:
>tap long
You tap an undulating spectral longsword formed of twisting white apparations, which is in your right hand.
>tap shi
You tap a ghostly lantern shield encased in a swirling light mist, which is in your left hand.
>tap arm
You tap a hazy cage of ethereal armor streaming trails of ghostly mist that you are wearing.
Belatedly, the outfit from the wedding Friday night.
You see Shannivar Devessi the Hospitaller of the Order of Venquinor.
She appears to be a Human from Hendor.
She is average height and appears to be youthful. She has expressive deep cobalt blue eyes and dusky olive skin. She has waist-length, lustrous sable hair captured in a silk-netted gold caul with a braided wire frame that lets a few gentle waves escape to cascade around her face. She has a delicate face and high cheekbones. Her features, combined, are both sharp and gracile, giving her a distinctive appearance. The effect is not unbeautiful. She has slender wrists and hands with long, graceful fingers.
She is in good shape.
She is holding a lace-wrapped plum and white bouquet in her left hand.
She is wearing a gossamer ecru silk veil, a velvet-tied ivory cameo choker, a reticella lace capelet, an ivory satin gown beaded with whorls of gold along the deep square neckline with a topaz gold chiffon chemise gathered along the decolletage and close-fitting sleeves underneath, a feather-etched white gold ring, an emerald-set red bronze ring, and some high-heeled white satin slippers with gilt threading.
Choker show:
An exceptionally long length of white velvet ribbon loops thrice around the neck of the wearer before ending in a whimsical bow at the nape, its ends allowed to hang freely down the shoulders. Centered at the hollow of the throat and pinning the soft material together is an elongated oval of carved ivory depicting an oak tree with branches limned by bright silver. A filigree-edged mithril frame backs the cameo, setting it on a field of pale blue.
Much <3 to Maleisse for helping me pull together the basic idea of the outfit's wording and the original description for the choker.
I LOVE that chemise. And the caul. Very lovely, the whole thing, a classical beauty.
