I would totally talk smack for a Nancy Pelosi candidate, just so I could see the circus take place.
Imagine how difficult the campaign manager position would be for this ticket.

I think this upset someone.

Pence only takes office if he isn't caught up in the scandal. You should be going all in on impeachment before the midterms, worst case scenario you'll get President Ryan.If Congressional Democrats repeat their 2016 election performance in 2018 they will control the Senate. If they repeat the 2006 midterms (i.e. the last midterms under a Republican President) they will also control the House.Quote:
Democrats are in checkmate, they must change their party plank or they will vanish from the political arena.
Also consider that the Democrats controlled the Presidency and both Houses of Congress for 14 years in the mid 20th century and the Republicans survived just fine. The only linear change in American politics is becoming more socially liberal and more centralized power, everything else goes in cycles. Capitalism/socialism, Republican/Democrat, round and round and round they go.
So not to get in the way of the back and forth insults, but can someone explain to me the significance of the Gates plea?
I haven't been following much this week, and I'm still a little fuzzy on exactly what he has to do with everything. Is it just to apply pressure to Manafort? Or is there something else I'm not seeing?
HPSCI Democrats have (finally) released their response to the Nunes memo.
http://docs.house.gov/meetings/ig/ig...0205-sd002.pdf
Its hard to say. Mueller is running a tight ship. I think you're right on in that its applying pressure on Manafort. One thing that is completely lost in the debate is trumps bad judgement. With any other potus that would be headline news. Now, I think everyone just expects it
.Quote:
The breaking of Rick Gates represents a dramatic escalation of Mueller’s probe into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. While the White House previously said it was unconcerned by the possibility that Gates would sing, the former campaign official was present at several critical junctures of the Trump-Russia affair. As deputy campaign chairman, Gates was on board during Don Jr.’s Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer, as well as for the campaign surrogates’ meeting with Russian officials during the Republican National Convention, when the decision was made to change the language in the official Republican platform to make it more sympathetic to Russian interests. And he remained on the Trump team throughout the transition period, when Jared Kushner and other campaign officials made contact with Russians, including Ambassador Sergey Kislyak and Vnesheconombank Chairman Sergey Gorkov.
Gates was part of the core 4 team. Manafort, Gates, Bannon, Conway.
https://twitter.com/TheBeatWithAri/s...74796252516352
Thanks both of you. I didn't realize that Gates was a part of the campaign at all, let alone an important part of it.
Too many threads for me to follow, but reading through these posts is helping me wrap my brain around everything. It's also helping me understand both sides of this. I know the more conservative crew here trucks in a lot of insults as the primary argument, but if you sift through- they've actually made some good points.
I don't think I've seen too many points made by them.
Can you highlight some that you found worthy of attention.
Adam Schiff says that the DOJ has corroborated the Carter Page section of the Steele dossier. What does that section claim?
1 - Page had a secret meeting with Igor Sechin - Rosneft Prez
2 - Sechin offered brokerage of Rosneft sale to Trump team
3 - Page had a secret meeting with Divyekin.
4 - Divyekin told Page that the Kremlin had incriminating info on Clinton.
5 - Divyekin hinted to Page that the Kremlin had kompromat on Trump.
PB made a pretty insane argument that people who voted for Clinton in the primary are somehow more responsible for Trump's election than the people who actually voted for Trump (I laughed a little), but he WAS right that if Sanders had been the nominee he probably would have won. The recent indictment of the 13 Russians supports that.
And Neveragain is being overly simplistic when he argues that conservatives are basically in an all-win situation right now, but I think he's right that a lot of conservatives are looking at things that way. And that helps explain all of the miles between conservatives and everyone else right now.
I wouldn't say Clinton voters are more responsible though I would say that Clinton herself and the DNC share a lot of the responsibility for Trump. I said before the DNC convention that if Hillary gets the nomination then Trump wins. We had a populist election, of course a highly unlikable, tone deaf, establishment candidate was going to lose. If the DNC hadn't (literally) sold out and screwed Bernie over I don't think we'd be in this mess.
Trump getting impeached and making way for Pence wouldn't be a win for the Republicans IMO. The fallout implications woul severely hurt the Republicans for years to come. Pence would be a lame duck until the end of the term.
I would more than welcome dissenting opinions but like I said they can't offer anything up beyond, "No collusion!", "You're a retard", "You're gay." It's the lowest effort trolling I've ever seen.
In fairness- if Clinton hadn't been attacked by the Russians, she likely would have won. The election came down to some tiny margins in very specific states- the same states that were targeted heavily. No one wants to blame the Russians for the outcome for various reasons, but honestly- that needs to be factored in. They helped keep a lot of people home and convinced a lot of other people to vote third party. Though I do agree with you that she wasn't a great populist candidate- even though she supported very populist policies. She never did a great job of communicating them. (I was a Sanders supporter, but I'm not one of the people who thinks Clinton is evil. She's just not what I wanted. My order of preference was Sanders, Kasich, and then Clinton)
I agree with you that Pence being elected would make the backlash even worse.
I actually think folks on the right have some great potential arguments to be making right now, but I get the impression that they trapped themselves by clinging to the "Mueller is part of a Deep State conspiracy to convince the country of an imaginary Russian attack to destroy the Trump administration" story. When that has been your argument, you don't have a lot left to fall back on.
3rd party and the Comey Oct/Nov surprise.
That may all be connected to Russia too. Stein connections, Guliani advance warning of the comey thing.
I'm not into conspiracy theories so Ill wait to see what happens but I'm not convinced Russia didn't directly hack enough votes to tip it. Its also weird that trump focused on those razor thin margin states. Shit, its really weird that every poll and all of Wall Street had it wrong too.
Like I said; we'll just have to see what happens, but I am skeptical.
** that whole post is written like shit, but I'm in a pickup and hope you get the gist of what I'm saying
I'm firmly convinced that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia (Again, I'm not buying that it's coincidence that Trump keeps trying to undo Russian sanctions and won't enforce the ones they can't undo), but I haven't seen anything that would convince me that vote tallies were changed.
I don't think I spend as much time reading up on this stuff as other people in this thread- so maybe there's something out there I just haven't seen. But I feel like if there were any real evidence, we'd all have heard of it.
This. I haven't seen any talk on the election machines being hacked directly, though, I wonder if that's something they would disclose to the public, for security reasons. Note that the technical aspects of hacking those machines isn't far fetched. At DEFCON last year all the voting machines were hacked within 30 minutes of them opening up the contest.
If they changed the vote tallies it probably wont ever be let known. Its simply too incindieary.
They sure don't seem to have done anything to stop it happening though. We may have hit Peak Republic in 2012. Form here on out we slide into faux democracy with essentially one party rule. Without a big dem showing in the mid terms we are sunk.
They honored Pai for courage under fire too. CPAC is something else. Booing naturalization, booing McCain, booing anti racist speech, cheering racist trump and the dude who called affirmative action on Steele, unironically chanting lock her up. Its all a little ball of hatred.
Pence is a good Christian, unlikely he was a part of anything, if there is a thing to be a part of.
Totally agree with your pendulum analogy. Obviously the best way to get the momentum to swing back in your direction is to move ones policy back to center.
It's going to take a lot for the Democrats to gain the blue collar vote back, impeachment proceedings will drive that voting block even further away.
How can he be a good Christian when he got into bed with someone like Donald Trump? He's an adulterer, he built a gambling empire, he lies regularly, he's a self-ascribed atheist (and only suddenly became Christian when he decided to run as a Republican), he's rich (camel through the eye of a needle anyone?), he acts in ways that show an absolute lack of empathy...
Pence also knew about the Russian contacts with the Trump campaign but never once went to the FBI despite the fact that he swore on a Bible to uphold the Constitution faithfully and to protect the US from its enemies.
Pence seems like just another self-serving politician who believes in his own purity more than Jesus.
Firing Mueller wouldn't end the special investigation and it wouldn't disband the grand jury.
No, but if he thinks Republicans in Congress will rush to his defense- he may think it's worth it.
If he thinks he's guilty of something that Mueller is likely to figure out, there's no way he would just sit back and wait for the inevitable. That's not his style. Impulsive, self-destructive decisions are though.
True that. He's instinct driven and a gambler. Hence all the failed businesses. Think of the most stringent advice his counselors are giving him and then imagine the opposite. Trump will do the opposite.
Rachel Maddow did an hour last night on the new charges against Gates. It may answer your earlier question.
I'm a huge fan of hers. I just haven't been watching lately.
My one problem with Maddow is she tends to tell me what I want to hear.
Just because Trump has his bad parts, just like all of us, does not mean he or Pence are guilty or incapable of good works. There's not even charges against Trump, last I understood he had been cleared of any wrong doing.
We have had foreign influence with our government since it's birth, it's necessary to maintain a healthy trade relationship with the rest of the world. This whole Russia thing is a political soap opera.
Wait- are you arguing that foreign governments meddling in our elections to choose our own elected officials for us (the ones that are most in their best interests) is...required for us to have healthy trade relationships? And your example for that is a country that's currently facing economic sanctions from us- and therefore someone we're not supposed to be trading with?
You don't see any problem with that?
Not...a single one?
Wow. WOW. This is some serious endgame stuff. Trump's threatening to make the whole world pay if sanctions don't work in NK and simultaneous to that Russia's actively attempting to ratchet up tensions on the peninsula.Quote:
Russian intelligence agents hacked hundreds of computers at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, while planting false evidence to cast blame on North Korea, according to U.S. intelligence.
The Washington Post reported Saturday night that U.S. intelligence officials say a cyberattack that struck several hundred computers used by Olympic officials was linked to Russian intelligence agents who attempted a "false-flag" operation with the hopes of blaming North Korea for the intrusions
But...the American trumpanzee still thinks this is totally cool because NK bad, Russia good, trump GOD
http://thehill.com/policy/cybersecur...blame-on-north
It's sort of interesting the way Trump is willing to lay sanction after sanction on North Korea while refusing to enforce- let alone add- sanctions against Russia- which directly attacked our election.
Actually the more I think about it, I have even less a problem with it as long as it does not actually involve tampering with the physical votes. I guess I have just come to terms that I'm going to probably come by foreign ideas in the age of the internet. I would prefer that than to block the rest of the world out.
How can it be that I'm treasonous when I didn't vote for the person you have your panties all in a knot about?
I simply don't relish the idea of leaving behind another 50 years of war/cold war for future generations of Americans, because I'm being told to hate Russians who for the life of me I can't find a reason to hate.
I'm sorry, but that is a fucking stupid ass reason. I don't feel like difficulties so I'm going to roll over and let them take what they want. I don't agree there was collusion but that train of thought is fucking bitch ass defeatist. They definitely did fuck with our election, hell, they are continuing to fuck with us now.
The thing I don't get- why are so many people okay with the fact that the President of the United States repeatedly lied to the American people about the fact that the Russians interfered with our election? He's been going out of his way to keep the country from defending itself.
That seems like the absolute most basic responsibility of a President. There's no reasonable excuse for failing to meet that responsibility.
Only two people have denied Russian election meddling: Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
Trump STILL hasn't said anything about Russia other than to blame Obama! At what point does this become dereliction of duty in the legal sense.
What am I as an American citizen "rolling over" to? Considering we already have a 16 year old war we can't get out of for some fucking reason, a heroin epidemic in our backyard, kids fucking shooting each other.......somehow I find it hard to think the Ukraine is better off listening to the US at the moment.
But it bothers me little that you want to continue with the Russia bad US good, spy vs. spy bullshit, but it's a pretty fucking stupid reason to continue living in the past.
If we can't do what it takes to beat a bunch of rag heads in 15 years what makes you think it would fair any better against an enemy most people don't hate enough to sacrifice their sons and daughters for?
Of course we can't get out of it. The mother fuckers who lied to get us into Iraq should be put on trial. You break it you bought it. Ring any bells?
All those raging Beghazi fake patriots should march on washington and demand action against the leadership that pulled the rug out from under the U.S. mission in Afghanistan to start a war in Iraq.
That won't happen of course. They don't really give any fucks about the country.
If you gave a shit you'd quit supporting trump here and start supporting your country as we face the greatest threat to our nations continued existence since the civil war. If republicans do half ass OK in the midterms the USA as we've known it will end.
Hello fine American sheep! We are proud to admit that your supreme leader "Doland the retard Drumpf" did not directly collude with us. Instead, we used amazingly transparently corrupt people who anyone with half a brain could identify as being in bed with anyone who was willing to provide a means for them to get an edge in business or life, regardless of their convictions or political position, nationality or any other potentially conflicting issues.
One may be asking of themselves, is Supreme leader retarded? If I were to hang with slavs and squat in the street smoking the cigarrete (smooth American flavor!) and the polizi were to stop by and say "Hey you, why you hang with these slavs who have history of stealing and beating and being a slav" should I say "I am not a slav, though I live like the slav, eat with the slav and dress like the slav?"
Is good American riddle!
I do not have the kids of Trump.
Trump tried to tell us that there was something wrong with the election process long before he was elected, you and your fellow Democrats insisted everything was peachy (even though now they are saying they "knew" something was wrong in 2016). Seems to us hayseeds ya'll thought God King Trump was talking about Mexicans and not Russians, but it was perfectly acceptable if it was the Mexicans tampering with our election.
/reported for racism and treason!
Russian "interfering" with our elections is a far cry from President Trump colluding with Russia to win the election.
Like night and day difference.
So, I imagine when President Obama stated "If you want to keep your insurance, you can!" and knew he was lying when he said it.. you let us all know about how disappointed you were in our President...Quote:
That seems like the absolute most basic responsibility of a President. There's no reasonable excuse for failing to meet that responsibility.
I looked back.. didn't see such a post from you. Weird how your moral compass wasn't working back then. Did you somehow get it fixed in November 2016?
Do you even know the difference between "meddling" and "collusion".. because it sounds like you are very confused with the terms.Quote:
Only two people have denied Russian election meddling: Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
Negatory. Trump fully expected to lose and was in it to spin it. He loses, gets billions in free adverts, and goes back to being a Twitter troll.
His rigging claims relate to this directly. He was setting up his loss with a frame that lets him not have to admit defeat. Specifically he was saying that the deep state/Clinton/Obama/establishment forces were conspiring against him.
He never warned us that Russia was meddling, even while colluding with Russia.
There's like all kinds of videos where he says he thinks there is something wrong and Clinton, as well as all the snotty little democrats, called Trump and his supporters crazy for questioning the election outcome.
Obama himself said nothing was wrong, was Obama in on this fantastic conspiracy as well?
or
Was Hillary Clinton the worst possible candidate the Democrats could have ran?
Hillary is not a good candidate in that she's a shitty politician. She'd have been just fine as POTUS.
OK so Obama, Hillary and the entire Democrat hierarchy lied to the American voters about what they knew about the election.
I have to admit that I'm not surprised that a "Democrat Socialist" wants to play judge and jury on this, fuck the process.
I swear once this is all said and done with, it will end up being all about a few Russian directed satirical YouTube videos.
I think Trump has done a stand up job considering the hysterics. No mandate and economically I'm far better off than I was a year and a half ago.
Honestly the only way to change anything to the way you want it means actually getting involved. Go to the next primary/caucus, stand up and give your speech, I have done it. I did it for nearly 10 years, the system is a joke dude and the Russians have nothing to do with it. Once you experience it you will see just how terrible a combination human nature and power are. Giving government as little power as possible is the only way to best avoid the inevitable evils of government. Our framers spoke relentlessly on this subject as well as the moral foundation required among the citizens to sustain such a limited government.
Show me one moral man or woman in politics and I will give it my respect.
You're very confused.
It has been stated repeatedly by James Comey, Diane Feinstein and James Clapper (all not on real friendly terms with President Trump) that there is no evidence of collusion.
You're wishing on a pipe dream that was created by Hillary Clinton to excuse her election loss. It didn't happen... she lost because she was a bad candidate.
Once you realize the loss is on her and no one else.. then perhaps you can then realize how you've been lied to all these months and maybe your salty tears can finally dry up and you can move on.
BTW: doesn't it seem rather short sighted to judge trump on these financial gains knowing that debt is going up, EPA and regulations are being gutted, state dept. can't keep good people, he's still crying about his dumb ass wall and he just threatened the entire planet, gave away the Pacific and China's quietly sliding in to replace us as the global voice of reason?
This ain't going to end well, for anybody
The one where the Russians made Clinton lose the election. You know, where millions of Americans were tricked into voting for Trump by Russian internet bots and the Democrats didn't know about any election interference before the election then knew about election interference 2 years before the election after they lost the election.
That conspiracy.
Just to be clear, you're claiming that President Donald Trump represents a policy move to the center? How about how he's endlessly fascinated with enforcing laws against brown aliens that break our laws, but continually refuses to enforce laws against white aliens that break our laws?Russians interfered with our election. No quotes.Quote:

The only question is whether it can be proven in a court of law, and a Congressional one at that.
I've not heard that theory anywhere. Millions? The difference was razor thin. The popular vote wasn't close. Dems, GOP, Intelligence and trump all knew about it during the election.
Democrats and their conspiracies!
https://i.imgur.com/UrnbxqV.png
These guys are showing why the voices of reason are losing. The Shiff memo is a perfect example. The dems tried to "win" the argument by presenting evidence and facts. They provided a reasoned response to emotional appeal. Remember we're dealing with people who have rejected science.
Wait, I thought my assessment of "millions of Americans" was a poor assessment?
Ok so the conspiracy goes like this: A handful of Russian trolls used voodoo internet powers to brainwash 126 million Americans into not voting for Hillary (I'm already seeing a problem with the math, but let us continue), an impact that Obama, Hillary and the Democrat hierarchy said did not exist prior to the election and then knew about 2 years before the election but only after the election took place.
Do I have it right now?
Come on man. Don't just troll. Fuck. Isn't there one conservative type here that isn't just gonna troll.
A handful of Russians? Those 13 indicted aren't the only ones involved. The IRA is one of hundreds of troll farms with thousands of people working for them. And just because some people think that a certain scenario isn't possible doesn't mean it can't happen. And it doesn't mean that if it does happen they can't change their stance on said event.
Then convince me with something other than 13 Russians swayed 126 million people to not vote for Hillary. FFS man, Hillary spent over a billion on that circus.
P.S.This is why I'm not buying a damn thing, over a billion dollars pissed away for donor access on a complete fucking loser. Don't think for a second those big time donors don't want their pound of flesh.Quote:
Hillary spent over a billion on that circus.
Who told you 136 million people were convinced to vote against Hillary?
Ok, so now the story is. The Russians used their troll interwebs voodoo to brainwash the citizens of MI, PA and WI using their voodoo powers to predict the need to focus their blood magic on those areas. Then Obama, Hillary and the Nazgul said there was no such thing as election swaying blood magic you silly orange troll, go twitter elsewhere. Then after the shire folk gave the orange troll the one ring, Mordor said "no way bitch" we knew about the blood magic 2 years before the election.
Is that a better assessment of the conspiracy?
Dude. You're flailing to defend a conspiracy theory you invented
All the, players knew Russia was interfering. McConnel wouldn't allow a bi partisan disclosure. Trump claimed it was rigged against him. Trump won the EC by exceedingly slim margins. His campaign is being investigated for criminal activity regarding the election.
That's about it. No need for grand theories
Tell me more about how 13 Russians made the Democrats lose.
https://media.giphy.com/media/Bp5dwyOW9BwbK/giphy.gif
Keep clinging to those 13.
I'm not being sarcastic or exaggerating when I say that they simply can't defend their positions. All political conversation devolves like this today. GOP type makes a bold declarative statement, you point him to evidence that disproves the statement, and they retreat into a protective cocoon of anger/insults/conspiracy theory/pouting
I have nothing to defend, I didn't vote for either retard.
You can't even give an account as to what kind of impact, if any, 13 russians had. You have proven.......NOTHING.
You just can't accept that Hillary sucked big dicks as a candidate, instead you're all like https://thumbs.gfycat.com/MealyDisho...restricted.gif
The story is that a number of Russians tried to influence the election, which is a crime regardless of how many people they did or didn't influence.
The story continues that the President obstructed the investigation into that influence, which is also a crime regardless of whether he or anyone he employed or knew or saw or even heard of was involved in the crime whose investigation he obstructed.
At least Latrin is honest enough to admit that it is just a story.
Did Facebook commit treason knowing they helped the Russians? Is Twitter use now restricted to Americans only, or do we ban twitter because it is not American owned? I'm just a little confused as to where and when I can talk to friends from other countries and such, I wouldn't want to be influenced by the ideas of people from around the globe.
Rationally defending? Between You, Rheisha, the couch guy and Back we have been given 4 sets of numbers....make that 3 because enough and a lot are not numbers.
You have to prove something first, 13 Russians brainwashed Americans, is not proof, it's playing thought police.
If not for those dastardly Russians, people would have voted for who they really wanted! Soon you will be supporting registration for an interwebs security number for all users, just in case people from other countries are saying things you don't like.
If people shared spicy Russian troll meme's, are they now guilty of treason too?
If illegals were using the interwebs to say bad things too, does that mean they should be rounded up as well?
Do foreign journalists face prison time for printing stuff about American politics?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiyfwZVAzGw
Those are honest questions.
If people shared what was said by these amazing 13 Russian are they guilty of treason?
Is Facebook guilty of treason?
Do we ban Twitter, obviously it's over run with jihadists. By your justifications, Americans are just too fucking stupid to think for themselves.
Welcome to the Red Scare 2.0
Honest questions from someone that doesn't care about facts. Okay.
What facts?
This is your case:
13 Russian nationals changed the minds of people who we know would have voted for Democrats. We know this because we are smarter than you and can read peoples minds. Fuck you, we are diving head first into 1984 because it was a really cool book.
The fact that you keep emphasizing the 13 Russians even though it's been noted more than once that it is far more than 13. We're talking a 4+ year Russian intelligence information warfare operation and you keep harping on those 13 indicted.
I don't recall a president Trump 4+ years ago. I do recall you retards being in charge of the show and being caught on hot mics saying nifty shit like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsFR8DbSRQE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GdLClHAMB0
But do please continue to tell us how the orange troll was working with the Russians?
Convince us that Mordor should take the one ring.
We are not making a "case".
You invented a liberal conspiracy theory to argue against it. Apparently you want to talk about keeping open channels for sharing ideas and big government.
If that is on your mind then make a thread, explain you're position and people will probably talk with you about that topic
Indeed.
Check out the above language. Its also typical of the GOP guide to losing arguments.
You guys this, you guys that....But, call him a trump supporter and see what happens. Its also an indicator that the gop/tumpanzee just admitted defeat. Its how they do it.
A similar phenomenon will happen with trumpanzees who fancy themselves intellectual. Call them out for believing Fox News bullshit and they respond by saying that they get their news from an aggregator. That means Drudge.
Dude, its your conspiracy theory. Enjoy it
Depends on the issue. I tend to lean more right on fiscal issues (except military spending) and more left on social issues. My girlfriend identifies as libertarian and leans further left on all issues than me, though I think geography and upbringing play a part in that. She was raised on a farm in Kansas, attended college at Wichita St. and works in banking. I was raised lower middle class in south Louisiana and went to work in the refineries at 18.
Yeah, 2 or 3 butthurt angry old men with fragile masculinity issues who have a desperate need to talk shit about other people to feel better about themselves is not really a measure of anything more than their own issues.
Libertarians get lumped in with the right wingers because they're economically conservative and their support for social issues tends to only go as far as the things that personally affect them, hence "state's rights". +1 on the mean streak though, that's something I've noticed too.
What is there to be butthurt about? The only butthurt that’s been happening here has been coming from you, time4pk, manpursewolff, and Necro. Though Necro has mostly been having conversations with his alts so that probably doesn’t count.
Seriously though, what is it that you think we’re butthurt over?
Trolls gonna troll.
A lot of libertarians are bitter over the 2012 election, after 2012 I stopped getting involved. Ron Paul was to the Republicans what Bernie Sanders was/is to the Democrat party. Just wait till the start of the next presidential election, Bernie/x-Bernie supporters will be rabid.
The more I think about it, I can totally see the Democrats running Oprah and her winning.
You can put me on the record. If the Democrats run Oprah, she will be our next president.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his legal team has moved to drop charges that were brought last week in an expansive superseding indictment against Rick Gates. The 32-count indictment issued in the Eastern District of Virginia accused Gates of tax and bank fraud.
Why it matters: Mueller's decision to drop the more expansive charges against Gates suggests that he may have provided good information for Mueller's probe. Gates still faces an advisory sentence of 57 to 71 months under his guilty plea, per Bloomberg, but it's worth nothing that the "prosecution can request a shorter sentence but isn't required to do so." Gates pled guilty last week to charges filed in the District of Columbia on counts of conspiracy against the United States and lying to the FBI and the Special Counsel.

ooooooooooooo it's really heating up now!!!!!11
From the people who published the Dossier..
Quote:
Amid the opportunists, weirdos, trolls, and pawns who make up the cast of the Russian plot to interfere in American politics, Joseph Mifsud stands out.
The Maltese professor, who allegedly delivered word of Hillary Clinton’s stolen emails to Donald Trump's campaign, is an authentically mysterious figure, his true role and ties to Russian intelligence unclear.
And while others like former Trump campaign aides George Papadopoulos and Carter Page – and their friends and girlfriends – told their stories, Mifsud went to ground. His biography disappeared from one university where he taught and he quit his job at another university. His email and cell phones went dead. And politicians, colleagues and journalists can't find him.
Neither can Anna, his 31-year-old Ukrainian fiancee, who says he is the father of her newborn child. And her story, snatched from the pages of a John le Carré novel, offers a glimpse at the human collateral damage of an intelligence operation in which the mysterious Mifsud was allegedly a central figure.

I don't think we'll be seeing him again.
Might not matter though. That epidemiologist from Atlanta who went home sick and hasn't been seen since may have just started the Walking Dead. LOL
Jeff Sessions: DOJ will open investigation into FISA abuses
From the Washington Examiner. Is that the Moonie paper? Anyway, this is how we lose the Republic.
