Found a beautiful old cream-colored Akita wandering filthy and emaciated in my neighborhood. Thiiiiiiis close to just adopting him myself if I couldn't find the owner but I already have three dogs. I console myself with the fact that he'll most likely be adopted fast because of his looks and friendliness. Still, I feel bad.

We took blood, pushed 120cc's saline IV and then basically were waiting around to see what happened. We had the needle drawn up to euthanize when the monkey started to come up. I made the call not to euthanize. Stayed in there with him for 3 hours or so. When I left he was still groggy, but he wasn't laying down in the cage. I scored him a solid 3. The vet backed me in not euthanizing, but basically i'll be the one that looks bad if he isn't alive in the AM. I dunno. Hope he makes it. Missed my Organic lecture. Fucking monkeys.
Pretty sure I'm going to have Def Leppard's "Love Bites" in my head for the rest of the week. This wouldn't be too bad of a frown except that it's one of those songs that could loop endlessly with no really defined beginning or end. I will never finish singing this goddamn song.
