The Clipse We Got the Remix is still one of my favorite mixtapes ever.
...and because I was listening to it. Pusha's verse suggests some uncomfortable truths about how close these guys were to product movement. Malice's final verse is some of my favorite rap lines ever, kind of pointing the finger at cocaine dealing/gangsta rap as a whole.

Blue Eyes Meets Bed-Stuy is another crazy mixtape. At high audio quality it has a physical presence.

Clipse circa 2004-2007 is undisputed for me. For me it's always been all about their mixtapes and the track "Eghck" but everything after Hell Hath has gone downhill. Pusha's verse on Runaway even left me kind of cold. Am I being too hard on them? Should I give the new stuff more listens?
