I'm guessing that 5 years ago if someone had told you that you would be defending a President who became a Russian asset to throw a US election in his favor (and who was using their Office to do favors for the Kremlin), you would have been offended and vehemently denied that you would ever do something like that.

At one point, you understood that this is wrong. Hopefully you find your morality and patriotism again.
