What Are You Wearing?

That's a great ugly alteration. I've always been tempted to roll up the gaudiest character ever and have her wear things like a fuzzy pink gak fur bodice with matching skirt and lots of orange and puce colored acessories. :lol:

Yes, that's the one! Heh, I hope you take it more like flattery than complete stealing, but I made a tunic out of overlapping blued steel scales like that from the inspiration.

Of course I take it as flattery. It's cool when you inspire others.

She appears to be a Half-Sylvan.
She appears to be in the flower of life and short. She has long-lashed, expressive twilight blue eyes and flawless, creamy skin. She has long, silky raven black hair that flows down her back, curling at the tips to brush against her hips. She has a finely contoured aristocratic face, an upturned nose and petite, delicate ears that taper to slight points.
She has a series of intricately etched slender silver rings in the ridges of both her ears.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing some sharpened silver hairsticks tipped with vaalin spheres, a back-split black brocade longcoat, a sleek ivory damask bodice back-laced with black silk cords, a ruffled black silk skirt, and a pair of slender black silk sandals with delicate wooden heels.

Sewn from rich black silk brocade patterned with twining vines and roses, this elegant coat is fully lined with white satin. The back of the longcoat is split from the hips downwards, and sways in the slightest breeze. The cuffs of the sleeves are turned back and clasped with vaalin buttons so as not to obstruct the wearer's hands. A multitude of opalescent vaalin rose-shaped clasps adorn the front of the coat, serving to fasten it closed. (I don't like how this turned out at all, probably going to re-alter it on the next Dhu run)

Designed to be worn low on the hips, this graceful black silk skirt is snug to the knees, where it then flares out in a gathered ruffle. The ruffle comes to a slight point in the center of the skirt, then cascades downwards in a multitude of elegant folds. Three rose-shaped vaalin buttons fasten the skirt in front, shimmering softly as they catch the light. (I was trying to make it a "mermaid" skirt, but I don't think I captured the look.)

She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Tyesteron D'ahranal.
She appears to be mature and very tall. She has intense, darkly-lashed pale citrine eyes and faultless china-white skin. She has waist-length, thick charcoal black hair that tumbles in a wild disarray of loose curls to the small of her back. She has an angular face, a classical nose and slightly pointed ears.
She has a small silver ring fashioned into a spiral loop in her left eyebrow.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing an oversized white gardenia tucked behind one ear, an austere silver collar, a short-waisted white linen coat, a silver-linked bracelet of carved milky quartz swans, a long silver rectangular kit, a strapless lavender damask gown, and some delicate backless sandals.

This elongated case has been constructed of rich cedar, which emits its distinct woody scent. It has been expertly lined on the outside with now-scuffed silver sheet. Unusually long, it is perfect for holding lock picks, as the inside has been inlaid in cork to ensure the contents within stay undamaged. Riveted to the top of the case are three complicated-looking silver toggles, mottled in tarnish as testament to the kit s years of use.

Constructed from faintly patterned silk, the high waist of the bodice wraps securely around the wearer's torso before the skirt flares into exuberant lengths of the dark periwinkle fabric. The loose and fey-like design of the skirt falls to the floor, with a extra lengths of fabric pooling out behind it in a slight train. A row of round white pearls serve as buttons that are painstakingly fastened from the skirt all the way up to the bodice.


So, this is Nalina's "fancy" outfit. She'll rarely wear it because she's too busy being stealthly and stealing and opening the throats of her enemies, and stuf...

Tiny silver spikes protrude at the shoulders and a supple leather belt-wrap fastens the longcoat at the waistline. Inside, the sheer lining ripples with shadowy grey spidersilk and a tiny black diamond scarab secures a meshwork pouch.

Clasped with tiny black diamond scarabs, the sturdy boots are cobbled from buffed black leather, the toes reinforced with polished mithril and the ankles sporting tiny mithril spurs. Underneath, the soles are treaded and tracked with tiny mithril spikes. Concealed inside, a pocket is secured with a mithril button.

Of the two tattoos, the hawk 'in my mind' is supposed to look like its flying over the warhorse. They symbolize the two families she comes from, the hawk from her elven father, and the horse from her human mother.

This is made in memory of her mother-

The amulet is filled with water, though glowing specks within fade in and out with the slightest movement.
Beautifully held within two spun tendrils of glass at the heart of the amulet is a glowing soulstone. Edged in filigreed silver, an intricate design of Elven glyphs and flowing Common script has been engraved upon the face. It reads, "Loved, Remembered, Honored." The amulet is suspended from a strong leather cord, surprisingly supple and dark from obvious loving care.
