This is a massively retarded question that doesn't deserve an answer, but I'll answer anyway. If it's something genetic, then no, that's not their fault. That still doesn't mean being low IQ is a good thing.

That said, in most cases, it's really just lazy and/or ignorant people who are willfully choosing to remain that way, who probably aren't "real" low IQ, they're just stupid by choice.

You are a perfect example of this. Or maybe you really are just a legit low IQ via genetics, but you have at least enough brain power to understand a clusterfuck like Gemstone, so that has to be good for something.

Actually I concede Methais makes a good point. Low IQ is a bad thing and we don’t want a big population of low IQ. I can’t blame someone that genuinely has down syndrome or is actually mentally retarded/handicapped/whatever is the medical term, but it’s not a good thing.

People that choose to be retarded, and yes for most stupid people I believe that is a choice, deserve to be mocked and ridiculed.

Sadly, long term pot use has been linked to losing as much as 10 IQ points over a decade. With the rise of pot use significantly correlated with the rise in Leftism in the US (my assertion but the timeline sure seems to click) perhaps it's more than an a coincidence.

I was a habitual pot smoker until just a few years ago. Usually I’d smoke 1 bowl in the evenings on work nights and maybe a little more than that on weekend. I consider that light but you be the judge. I decided to quit a few years ago mainly because the buddy I got it from moved across the state, and it just wasn’t doing anything for me anymore.

I hate pot culture. It’s definitely associated with the left. I don’t think smoking it causes people to lean left, but the whole culture originating from 60s hippies and such is there & owned by the left.

Not scientific but I do believe me smoking for 20+ years did longterm damage to my short term memory. It’s not terrible, but not what it used to be. Could just be me getting older.

I think in general marijuana is a lot less damaging than alcohol or most other drugs, but certainly not good for you.

The problem I have with pot is 2 fold. First, we know exactly how bad alcohol is since we have real research. We are just beginning to learn about pot. Also, pot, like tobacco can be messed with, alcohol is alcohol. Second issue, no one gets drunk or experiences alcohol use side effects from alcohol sitting in a container on a table. When you smoke, it's not contained, you, whoever is near you, kids, dogs, whatever, all get it. That's my issues.

I blaze every day after work. I could blaze at work too, but then that just makes me not want to deal with work, but I can still handle it just fine if I had to.

Pot culture is retarded though, I agree, and there's no lack of right leaning people who are potheads. The most likely difference is leftist potheads are probably statistically more fitting of the pothead stereotype, but even if they weren't potheads, they'd still be chronically broke and unemployed losers. Smoking weed didn't make them that way, but I will concede that a lot of "the right," though less than even 10-20 years ago, need to get the fuck over it.
