So we’re on the same page, you are saying that it’s likely the agency just created another position (either before or after Trump assumed office & gave the DEI order) and hired this lady into that role after announcing that DEI staff positions be ordered on administrative leave? I find that both unlikely and problematic. So the agency just suddenly found themselves in need of a separate senior leadership position, created the requisition, interviewed multiple candidates, found that their former chief diversity officer was the best qualified person for this new role, hired her into the position, and then changed her title after Trump gave the DEI order? The most obvious assessment is the agency simply changed her job title to protect her from administrative leave. I suspect that she is still performing the same DEI functions she was previously hired to do. Again though, Trump’s team can quickly find out internally to eliminate any doubt or Congress could publicly investigate & compel her and others to testify. I’m good with either.
