Earlier this year Biden already placed a moratorium on new oil fields on federal land which accounts for something like 30% of all US energy production. He has also reinstated many of the regulations that Trump rolled back.

Do you really need an "expert" to tell you that less oil being produced and more costly regulations on oil producers is going to lead to an increase in price? You did graduate high school and understand simple supply and demand economics right?

Show me those sources that say hurricanes or more people driving is to blame yet when Trump was president the economy was booming and people were driving a lot AND we had hurricanes too? Show me the sources for why people driving and hurricanes cause gas prices to shoot up under Biden but hardly had an impact while Trump was president?

I specifically said he placed a moratorium on NEW oil fields on federal land, and my bad for wording it wrong, he placed a moratorium on new lease sales, what you're talking about is applications on federal land that was already leased.

Oil just shot up to over 80 dollars per barrel, the first time in almost a decade because of worries about a short supply. And here are idiots like Seran "Duhhhh! Biden forbidding new land leases won't cause oil to spike! Duhhhh!"
