“He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (‘if it was 2013 — when did I stop being Vice President?’), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began (‘in 2009, am I still Vice President?’),” the report said.
Biden also had difficulty remembering the timing of his son Beau’s death, as well as a debate about Afghanistan.
“He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died,” the report said.
This is our president.
So, Biden's own DOJ just basically said he is too incompetent to charge with anything... do you believe this is the Democrats way of getting him out and putting in someone else to run for President?
Jesus.. why would you get up and do a national address.. for this? It's 8pm, well past Cottage Cheese and Apple Sauce Snack Time.
Angry old senile man.
His handlers are trying to shut this down now because he's losing control.
Just watched it. I actually feel bad for him. Putting him in front of a press box is just cruel at this point.
Quote:
During the hastily scheduled remarks at the White House, Biden blasted special prosecutor Robert Hur for saying he did not remember when his son Beau died. But minutes after defending his memory, he mistakenly referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as the president of Mexico.
Our founders are literally rolling over in their graves. The country is being ran by unelected officials, senile invalids, people that think islands can tip over from too many people standing on it and corporate lobbyists. I'd take a monarchy over this bullshit.
Lol, duh.
Quote:
The comparison came as Hur was explaining why he was not recommending charges in Biden’s case.
“It is not our role to assess the criminal charges pending against Mr. Trump, but several material distinctions between Mr. Trump’s case and Mr. Biden’s are clear,” the report reads. “Unlike the evidence involving Mr. Biden, the allegations set forth in the indictment of Mr. Trump, if proven, would present serious aggravating facts.”
“Most notably,” it continues, “after being given multiple chances to return classified documents and avoid prosecution, Mr. Trump allegedly did the opposite. According to the indictment, he not only refused to return the documents for many months, but he also obstructed justice by enlisting others to destroy evidence and then to lie about it.” In contrast, the report continues, Biden cooperated fully.
Hur uses the careful language of allegations, as he and we should. But the evidence bolstering those allegations is robust. What’s understood about Trump’s case demonstrates months of effort by the U.S. government to reclaim material — and months of stonewalling or incomplete responses from Trump’s camp. In early June 2022, his attorneys attested that all material with classification markings had been returned to the government; two months later, the FBI found more than 100 at Mar-a-Lago.
Not entirely sure how Republicans can countenance Orange Man announcing NATO is fair game for Russian invasion, but this is consistent with his trying to destroy the alliance when he was in office. Sad Trump is such a Russian puppet.
Quote:
Trump’s incendiary NATO remarks send very real shudders through Europe
Remarks by Donald Trump normally reverberate in an echo chamber of his own creation, a sort of vacuum that often strips them of any consequence globally. It is white noise, one might think – rhetoric designed to project strength and the rejection of the status-quo, rather than an expression of any actual policy. It is just Trump being Trump.
But when the former president suggested on Saturday that he would let Russia do “whatever the hell they want” to any NATO member that doesn’t meet spending guidelines, the impact was acute.
He recalled what he said was a conversation with a “large” NATO ally – it was unclear who he was referring to or when the conversation took place – which, according to his telling, had declined to spend the 2% recommended equivalent of their GDP on defense, but nevertheless wanted assurances from the US that they would be protected if Russia attacked. Trump said he would not give such an assurance, as the ally was “delinquent,” and Russian President Vladimir Putin should feel free to have his way.
Trump’s opinion of NATO has been known for years – he thinks it is the epitome of everything he despises about of America’s allies, taking advantage of US strength without giving anything in return: a store loyalty club in which you get points without proportionate spending.
As with much foreign policy, the Republican frontrunner radically misunderstood the nature and purpose of this relationship. NATO is not an alliance based on dues: it is the largest military bloc in history, formed to face down the Soviet threat, based on the collective defense that an attack on one is an attack on all – a principle enshrined in Article 5 of NATO’s founding treaty.
It’s purpose which suits the US profoundly: The White House invoked Article 5 after 9/11. And since NATO’s creation, US might has been often packaged globally as the expression of a dozens-strong consensus. NATO helps bolster the US’s ebbing position as the sole hyperpower. Strip away this vast alliance, and its diplomatic and economic might, and the US looks quite lonely on the world stage.

I like how Seran rips on Fox 24/7 while unironically posting CNN trash every day.
If certain NATO allies aren't paying their fair share, why should they get the benefits?
You love the term "Paying their fair share" so why shouldn't it apply to NATO as well?
These are all rhetorical questions, since you don't have any thoughts of your own to answer with in the first place even if you weren't a big gaping unshaven unwashed vaginahead.
It’s really quite simple. NATO members must pay their fair share and contribute to their own national defense. The policy worked well during Trump’s presidency. I don’t think he was being literal about encouraging Russia to do whatever they want to a non-contributing NATO member, but that comment came after the question was asked if a NATO member didn’t pay. He did write a book called The Art of the Deal you know…
Why are you insisting that it is the sole responsibility of the U.S. to fund NATO and provide military protection to a European country who won’t contribute? Only the U.S. should have to spend a sizable amount of our GDP towards defense and Europeans should enjoy all those benefits with none of the costs?
Some pretty impressive mental gymnastics you performed there, I give a 7.5. You 'choose' to think Trump wasn't being literal in inviting Russia to invade NATO, contrary to the words he used. Pretty much how your type didn't feel he was being literal in saying Crimea belonged to Russia, before Russia attempted to annex the rest of Ukraine. If you think an alliance against a common foe is maintained by inviting said foe to attack other member countries, you've got a lot to learn.
So Biden literally said Russia could invade Ukraine as long as it wasn't a big skirmish.. but Trump said that if NATO countries don't pay the share they agreed to pay to be a member, then they don't get the protection offered by the agreement... and you are in full blown panic mode about Trump being a Russian asset and he's going to start WW3.
Relax, cupcake. Trump was the MOST peaceful President since Gerald Ford. He didn't have any wars or invasions started under his first term, no matter how upsetting and "ZOMG TEH WORLD IS ENDING!" people like you are.
And now you are starting it up again.. right on cue.
I can't wait for your next meltdown.. it's going to be highly entertaining to me.
You didn’t answer my question.
Also I would like to point out that Russia annexed Crimea back in 2014. Guess who was our president back then and did absolutely nothing about it?
Edit: Well to Obama’s credit he did issue a few sanctions, but history through today has taught us that didn’t do squat to Russia.
Is this anything like how you "chose" to think that Trump told people to inject bleach, despite him saying nothing even remotely close to that in the actual video it stemmed from, because you're a brain dead NPC with no thoughts of your own and couldn't be bothered to watch 30 seconds of video to realize how dumb and gullible you are?
Loser.
If the United States decided to cut our defense spending to less than 2% of our GDP, all of Europe would be shitting their pants on a daily basis just like Seran. If we did that we could probably afford to give Seran a bigger welfare check though, so not quite sure why he isn’t on board with this.
So let's game this out. Russia accepts Trumps invitation and invades another country who is part of NATO, this would invoke article 5 of the treaty which we're a founding member.Quote:
Speaking to supporters at a rally in South Carolina, Trump recounted an exchange from his time in office with the leader of a “big country” who asked whether it would be protected if Russia attacked.
Trump said he told the leader that the U.S. government would not protect the bloc if it didn’t pay its fair share in defense spending.
“I said: ‘You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent?’” Trump recalled. “No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You got to pay. You got to pay your bills.”
The United States would be obligated to provide assistance to the member under such an invasion it's 'President' invited. The subsequent expenditure of materials, manpower, and economic impact of a direct war between superpowers would be -devastating- to our economy. All because Republicans want to put Donald Trump, an open ally of Putin, back in the Whitehouse.Quote:
Article 5
“The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defence recognized by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.
Any such armed attack and all measures taken as a result thereof shall immediately be reported to the Security Council. Such measures shall be terminated when the Security Council has taken the measures necessary to restore and maintain international peace and security.”
You are still dodging my question.
NATO membership suggests a country should spend a minimum of 2% GDP on defense. The U.S. spends roughly 3.5% of GDP on defense. Fundamentally, do you accept a European country spending less than 2% of their GDP on defense knowing that they will be protected by the United States if Russia decides to invade them?
Your question is an irrelevant and poor attempt at a distraction from your candidate's attempts to destroy NATO, why would I address it?
Republicans seem pretty eager to jeopardize national security by destroying ties with our allies, quite the fuck you Trump is serving up after they came to our side in Iraq and Afghanistan. Lest you forget a lot of those same countries were also instrumental in World War 2, but I'm sure making our country vulnerable is more important to Trumpers.
To be fair, we didn't need them. Bush just wanted a global concession.
We did all the heavy lifting.
Instrumental? Which ones, specifically?Quote:
Lest you forget a lot of those same countries were also instrumental in World War 2,
France? Already taken over.
Poland? Already taken over.
Denmark? Already taken over.
Norway? Already taken over.
Belgium? Already taken over.
Germany? They were the ones doing the attacking.
Italy? They were the ones doing the attacking.
England? They were getting pounded around the clock... if not for us, they would have already been taken over.
They needed us, not vica versa.
You mean like the southern border being open for 3 years now, allowing millions of undocumented aliens to enter?Quote:
but I'm sure making our country vulnerable is more important to Trumpers.
"THAT DOES'N'T COUNT!" -sErAn
Ironic that Trump speaking on the very issue of cognitive decline says Biden is going to lead us into World War 2 with Russia. Perhaps Trump lost count? At least he didn't also confuse Biden with Obama.. again.

Always interesting when folks make up fabrications to support their arguments about America leaving NATO. Taft, Trump and Neveragain. Eisenhower, once Supreme Allied Commander of NATO and then President who was instrumental in cementing our involvement in NATO is now believed to have wanted us to leave the treaty after a decade.
It's always interesting when especially dumb folks make up fabrications to support their arguments when they are confronted with history that they don't like or more likely just don't know (or care)
“If in 10 years, all American troops stationed in Europe for national defense purposes have not been returned to the United States, then this whole project will have failed.” -Dwight D. Eisenhower 1951
You're confusing ending America's involvement with NATO as a treaty member with having armed forces stationed in Europe for peacekeeping, that is obvious. That you couldn't find anything to support Neveragain's assertion that Eisenhower wanted to depart NATO isn't surprising, because he made that up.
The idea was for Europe to be self-reliant and take care of their own defense, which they are totally capable of. Instead what has happened is the majority of NATO members spend less than 2% of GDP on their own defense (which they agreed to was the minimum bank in 2006). And why should they when they can just rely on good ole Uncle Sam in America to protect them?
News flash…the Soviet Union is no more. Either these countries like Canada, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Belgium, and more ramp up their defense spending or they can start paying the United States protection money for their existence.
Perhaps you're confused, or your Putin admiration has you overlooking truth but Russia is more of a threat than the USSR ever was and it is closing in on superpower status. With their regional aggression in Georgia, Ukraine and threats to Finland the power of NATO and the permanent bases we maintain for first and counterstrike status in NATO counties are vital. That Putin supporters like Trump and his MAGA cultists want NATO neutralized is emblematic of their wanting America to lose it's status as the most powerful nation.
Your attempts at arguing why we she make ourselves more vulnerable by leaving a seventy year alliance are poor. European countries can and should spend more, yes, but that's not an excuse to leave NATO or for a madman like Trump to invite Russia to invade NATO member countries.

Remember when our politicians said they couldn't afford 5 billion for a wall to be built?
Fuck these politicians.
Russia is so far removed from superpower status it’s not even funny. They are a shadow of a threat they were in comparison to the USSR. Your statement is simply false.
You are twisting Trump’s words and taking what he said literally & out of context. Trump doesn’t want to end NATO nor would he actually encourage Russia to invade a country. He simply is using leverage to get the countries that are not meeting their defense spending obligations to start paying their fair share. NATO is a stronger alliance when all of its members meet their necessary obligations, wouldn’t you agree?
Actually Trump said word for word he'd encourage Russia to attack a member of NATO. Your spin attempt is weak, dude said what he would do word for word. Do better.Quote:
“I said: ‘You didn’t pay? You’re delinquent?’” Trump recalled. “No, I would not protect you. In fact, I would encourage them to do whatever the hell they want. You got to pay. You got to pay your bills.”

It's amusing to watch people struggle to spin what Trump literally said he would do. Word for word he said he would encourage Russia to attack, no spin, context shifting, not even claiming he was 'joking' is going to paint this anything but what it was; Trump is a Putin ally. For additional shits and giggles about the mental incompetency of your Orange Man, here is a video of him struggling to say 'origins'. His people are still looking for the 'oranges' of the investigation by the way.

Hey Seran, why did Putin choose to invade Ukraine when Obama & Biden was president but didn’t while Trump was president? Is it because they are besties?
Trump: I hope they take a look at the "oranges" of the investigation
Trump, correcting himself right after: You look at the "origins" of the investigation...
And here is that same quote, but if Seran were saying it, with no correction after, because he's too stupid.

Chicago to stop using controversial gunshot detection technology this year
CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago won’t renew its ShotSpotter contract and plans to stop using the controversial gunshot detection system later this year, Mayor Brandon Johnson’s office announced Tuesday.
The system, which relies on an artificial intelligence algorithm and network of microphones to identify gunshots, has been criticized for inaccuracy, racial bias and law enforcement misuse. An Associated Press investigation of the technology detailed how police and prosecutors used ShotSpotter data as evidence in charging a Chicago grandfather with murder before a judge dismissed the case due to insufficient evidence.
Chicago’s contract with SoundThinking, a public safety technology company that says its ShotSpotter tool is used in roughly 150 cities, expires Friday. The city plans to wind down use of ShotSpotter technology by late September, according to city officials. Since 2018, the city has spent $49 million on ShotSpotter.
“Chicago will deploy its resources on the most effective strategies and tactics proven to accelerate the current downward trend in violent crime,” the city said in a statement. “Doing this work, in consultation with community, violence prevention organizations and law enforcement, provides a pathway to a better, stronger, safer Chicago for all.”

Shows you just how irresponsible Republicans are; anything for political expedience. Upon learning classified intelligence allegedly pertaining to Russia, Republican lawmakers immediately began grandstanding and leaking information left and right. You've got to wonder how our government can secretly gather intelligence and take covert action to counteract the threat when the GOP publicizes -everything-. This on top of the information Trump stole and put on his buffet line.
Quote:
US has new intelligence on Russian nuclear capabilities in space
The US has new intelligence on Russian military capabilities related to its efforts to deploy a nuclear anti-satellite system in space, according to multiple sources familiar with the intelligence.
The intelligence was briefed to Congress and key US allies, and some lawmakers say it is serious enough that it should be declassified and made public. While the intelligence is concerning, multiple senior members of Congress briefed on the information on Wednesday emphasized that it does not pose an immediate threat to the US or its interests.
The system remains under development and is not yet in orbit, according to three US officials familiar with the intelligence. It’s not clear how far the technology has progressed, one of the officials said. A separate US official told CNN the threat does not involve a weapon that would be used to attack humans.
It was not immediately clear whether the intelligence referred to a nuclear-powered, anti-satellite capability or a nuclear-armed capability.
While members of Congress downplayed the immediacy of the threat, an anti-satellite weapon placed in orbit around Earth would pose a significant danger to US nuclear command and control satellites, said Hans Kristensen, director of the Nuclear Information Project at the Federation of American Scientists. The US relies on such satellites – which he called “essential” – to ensure constant, seamless control over its nuclear arsenal.
Other countries have tested anti-satellite weapons in the past, but this would be an escalation, Kristensen said, and the US has made clear that it would react “very forcefully” to an attack on its nuclear command and control satellites.
“If it’s orbital, it’s a new level of threat [to the system], whether it’s nuclear or not,” said Kristensen, who added that even conventional weapons on an orbital anti-satellite system could pose a significant threat to the US.
ABC News first reported that the intelligence related to a Russian space-based nuclear capability.
Earlier Wednesday, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Republican Rep. Mike Turner of Ohio, ignited a firestorm on Capitol Hill when he issued a cryptic statement announcing that the panel had “information concerning a serious national security threat.”
In a letter to lawmakers inviting them to view the intelligence in the committee’s classified spaces, he said that it related to a “destabilizing foreign military capability that should be known by all congressional policymakers.”
Immediately, lawmakers began tramping down to the House basement to learn what the intelligence was.
Some left underwhelmed. One Democratic member with deep national security experience said that they had never before received that kind of urgent summons over a national security matter during their time in Congress — and that the intelligence they saw when they arrived was not urgent enough to justify Turner’s alarm-pulling.
Within hours, the Republican speaker of the House, Rep. Mike Johnson, attempted to tamp down the imbroglio, telling reporters that “there is no cause for alarm” and indicating that he had known about the intelligence since at least January.
“We just want to assure everyone steady hands are at the wheel. We’re working on it and there’s no need for alarm,” Johnson said.
Rep. Jim Himes, the committee’s top Democrat, said in a statement that “the classified intelligence product that the House Intelligence Committee called to the attention of Members last night is a significant one, but it is not a cause for panic.”
National security adviser Jake Sullivan on Wednesday said he was “surprised” that Turner had made the existence of the intelligence public, noting that he was already scheduled to brief the top Republican and Democratic leaders of the House as well as Turner and Himes on Thursday.
“We scheduled a briefing for the House members of the Gang of Eight tomorrow,” Sullivan said. “That’s been on the books. So I am a bit surprised that Congressman Turner came out publicly today in advance of a meeting on the books for me to go sit with him alongside our intelligence and defense professionals tomorrow.”
Turner in his statement has urged the Biden administration to declassify “all information relating to this threat so that Congress, the Administration, and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.”
Meanwhile, in a joint statement, the Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee suggested that they had been tracking the intelligence but that it would be difficult to declassify it without exposing sensitive sources and methods.
The uproar over the new intelligence comes as a $60 billion aid package to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia has stalled in the House and former President Donald Trump has been publicly supporting GOP members who have opposed the package. Trump has also in recent days said that he would encourage Russia to “do whatever the hell they want” to NATO allies that do not meet alliance-set spending goals on their own defense.
Johnson has said that he will not bring the Senate-passed aid measure to the floor.
But Turner has publicly supported continuing to fund the Ukraine war effort. Some lawmakers and US officials privately speculated that his effort to brief lawmakers on the intelligence — something the House Intelligence Committee voted on Tuesday night to do — might be an attempt to shore up flagging support for Ukraine.
Sources declined to provide further detail on the intelligence or the Russian capabilities it describes.
But for years, Russia has pursued counterspace systems designed to neutralize US military and commercial space systems, according to a 2022 Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report on space security. Russian doctrine called for being able to target an enemy’s satellites from the ground, air, cyber and space, using attacks that range from temporary jamming to outright destruction.
In 2020, Russia tested a space-based anti-satellite weapon with sophisticated orbital capabilities that could have a dual purpose: it could service and inspect friendly satellites while having the capability to attack enemy satellites.
An attempt to launch a nuclear-armed anti-satellite system into space would violate The Outer Space Treaty of 1967, which explicitly prohibits “any objects carrying nuclear weapons or any other kinds of weapons of mass destruction” in orbit.
This story and headline have been updated with additional developments.

We JUST learned this yesterday... and it's just a coincidence that Ukraine funding is up for a vote in the House.
Please stop. Only the sErAns of the world believe it.
It was just so transparent on how they rolled it out.. Ukraine funding passes the Senate, but there's close to no chance it even gets to a vote in the House.. and "ZOMG BREAKING NEWS!!!! RUSSIA HAS THE CAPABILITY TO HAVE ZOMGNUCLEARWEAPONS IN SPACE!!!!!!!!!!"
If anyone thinks that the US and Russia along with likely China, the UK and France don't already have nuclear weapons in space, then they are just dumb. It's like biological and chemical weapons, we know how to make them so we do, because we can.
Well we find out it was a nothingburger, Russia's anti satellite capabilities have been known for awhile. The Republican Senator potential violated the law for nada.
I’ll just assume you are talking about Representative Mike Turner and fucked up by calling him a senator.
I won’t go so far as to say he violated the law, but for once we may agree on something. He is a war hawk & is motivated to give money to defense contractors. This was a blatantly obvious stunt to put fear into the public and put pressure on House Republicans to bring the Ukraine funding bill to the floor for a vote.
Inside Mayor Adams’ migrant debit card boondoggle — no-bid bank gets $50 million, border crossers up to $10,000 each
Quote:
It takes money to make money, as the old saying goes, and apparently, it also takes money — as much as $53 million — to give money away.
Earlier this month, The Post broke the story that Mayor Eric Adams is giving out pre-paid cash cards to migrants.
Unusually for the mayor, Adams didn’t publicize this story himself, and his administration for nearly a month has failed to correct several public misperceptions about it.
One misperception is that the program allows the city to give out just $50 million to migrants.
No wonder the mayor has been reticent.
This debit card program — if you read the actual contract — has the potential to become an open-ended, multibillion-dollar Bermuda Triangle of disappearing, untraceable cash, used for any purpose.
It will give migrants up to $10,000 each in taxpayer money with no ID check, no restrictions and no fraud control.

Mounting budget deficits exacerbated by the wealthy evading their tax obligations and Republicans rather hypocritically want to worsen it by cutting back on IRS funding. The national debt would be lower by trillions of dollars if legally owed taxes were paid.
Quote:
Tax evasion by millionaires and billionaires tops $150 billion a year, says IRS chief
The nation’s millionaires and billionaires are evading more than $150 billion a year in taxes, adding to growing government deficits and creating a “lack of fairness” in the tax system, according to the head of the Internal Revenue Service.
The IRS, with billion of dollars in new funding from Congress, has launched a sweeping crackdown on wealthy taxpayers, partnerships and large companies. In an exclusive interview with CNBC, IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel said the agency has launched several programs targeting taxpayers with the most complex returns to root out tax evasion and make sure every taxpayer contributes their fair share.
“When I look at what we call our tax gap, which is the amount of money owed versus what is paid for, millionaires and billionaires that either don’t file or [are] under reporting their income are $150 billion of our tax gap,” Werfel said. “There is plenty of work to be done.”
Werfel said that a lack of funding at the IRS for years starved the agency of staff, technology and resources needed to fund audits — especially of the most complicated and sophisticated returns, which require more resources. Audits of taxpayers making more than $1 million a year fell by more than 80% over the last decade, while the number of taxpayers with income of $1 million jumped 50%, according to IRS statistics.
“For complex filings, it became increasingly difficult for us to determine what the balance deal was,” he said. “We have to make investments to make sure that whether you’re a complicated filer who can afford to hire an army of lawyers and accountants, or a more simple filer who has one income and takes the standard deduction, the IRS is equally able to determine what’s owed to us. That’s a fairer system.”
Some Republicans in Congress have ramped up their criticism of the IRS and its expanded enforcement efforts. They say the wave of new audits will burden small businesses with unnecessary bureaucracy and years of fruitless investigations and won’t raise the promised revenue.
The Inflation Reduction Act gave the IRS an $80 billion infusion, yet congressional Republicans won a deal last year to take $20 billion of the funding back. Now they’re pressing for further cuts.
The Treasury Department said last week it estimates greater IRS enforcement to result in an additional $561 billion in tax revenue between 2024 and 2034 — a higher projection than it had initially stated. The IRS says that for every extra dollar spent on enforcement, the agency raises about $6 in revenue.
The IRS is touting its early success with a program to collect unpaid taxes from millionaires. The agency identified 1,600 millionaire taxpayers who have failed to pay at least $250,000 each in assessed taxes. So far, the IRS has collected more than $480 billion from the group, “and we are still going,” Werfel said.
On Wednesday, the agency announced a program to audit owners of private jets, who may be using their planes for personal travel and not accounting for their trips or taxes properly. Werfel said the agency has started uses public databases of private-jet flights and analytics tools to better identify tax returns with the highest likelihood of evasion. It is launching dozens of audits on companies and partnerships that own jets, which could then lead to audits of wealthy individuals.
Werfel said that for some companies and owners, the tax deduction from corporate jets can amount to “tens of millions of dollars.”
Another area Werfel said is potentially rife with evasion is limited partnerships, adding many wealthy individuals have been shifting their income to the business entities to avoid income taxes.
“What we started to see was that there certain taxpayers were claiming limited partnerships when it wasn’t fair,” he said. “They were basically shielding their income under the guise of a limited partnership.”
The IRS has launched the Large Partnership Compliance program, examining some of the largest and most complicated partnership returns. Werfel said the IRS has already opened examinations of 76 partnerships — including hedge funds, real estate investment partnerships and large law firms.
Werfel said the agency is using artificial intelligence as part of the program and others to better identify returns most likely to contain evasion or errors. Not only does AI help find evasion, it also helps avoid audits of taxpayers who are following the rules.
“Imagine all the audits are laid out before us on a table,” he said. “What AI does is it allows us to put on night vision goggles. What those night vision goggles allow us to do is be more precise in figuring out where a high-risk [return] is and what a low risk is, and that benefits everyone.”

150 billion is a big amount. But the national debt would not be lower by "TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS" like you said... since 150 billion /=1 trillion.
When you get confused, just count the number of zeros.
Or to put this into perspective even someone like you could understand:
Let's pretend that 1 dollar equals 1 second in time.
150 billion seconds from now is the equivalent to 4,760 years.
1 trillion seconds from now is the equivalent to 31,688 years.
You see the 150 and the 1 and get confused and somehow believe they are the same. They aren't even close to the same thing.
SPOILER: The amount we pay to just service the debt we have.. which will be 1 TRILLION dollars by October.
From Trump's speech on Saturday..
What is he talking about? I searched for news about immigrants arriving from the Congo last week and found nothing.Quote:
Thousands and thousands of people coming from all over the world. Yesterday, they had many from the Congo. Welcome to the Congo people because and where do you come in the Congo? Where do you live? You were in prison. What for? Murder. They are coming from Africa, coming from Asia, coming from deferral -- different parts of the Middle East. When I came in, they were bombing. Every bomb is a million dollars. We want a solution to things. You would have never had Ukraine and Russia.
I did not say that. Don’t attempt to put your words in my mouth.
That being said, we do have a government spending problem that can’t be solved with additional tax revenue. Both parties are guilty of overspending. I support reducing the size and scope of our federal government.
Let me help you with that Google search.
46% of refugees arriving to Ohio are from the Democratic Republic of the Congo
https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/...c-of-the-congo
Recognizing $150B is only a portion of the roughly $688 billion of the tax gap in 2021, I wonder if you're simply delusional or if you don't really think that the 34% ($688B / $2T) being paid wouldn't put a 'dent' in the deficit.
You and I both know that giving lip service to shrinking the deficit is all that your party wants to accomplish. Otherwise they'd get off their asses and support the collection of legally owed taxes.
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-upd...to-688-billion
I want government to shrink. I prefer to pay less in taxes. Hell, if there was an option for me to have trial by combat with an IRS agent in order to avoid giving a dime to those dickless monkeys, I would choose that every time.
Edit: Put another way, while I am not part of the super rich club I also don’t see them as my mortal enemy. I too want lower taxes. We have that in common. It’s past time that people who work for a living across all races, economic classes, genders etc. unite against the freeloaders seeking handouts & unnecessary bureaucrats.
Wanting the government to shrink is being confused with divesting obligations. Unless you think active duty military, veterans, and all those who've paid into social security are freeloaders as I suspect you do, then you need to seriously educate yourself on the small percentage of actual discretionary spending.
You and your friends just need to fess up you're trying to weaken the country so it can be taken over by Putin already. You're already taking massive strides by making it harder for our country to pay it's bills and alienating decades old alliances.
3/5ths of the government budget is entitlements and not one is part of the mandate of the government. Normal people, when the bills get to high, look to cut their expenses, Democrats, nooooo, borrow more from our grandchildren and send more overseas. You are like children, "I want this, give me more allowance!."
Fuck off you terrorist supporting, Jewish genocide loving piece of shit.
Hardly surprising to me as Reagan was our very first 'bankrupt America' Republican, taking the national debt from $738 billion to $2.1 trillion. Makes sense that you'd want to emulate a confused, Alzheimers ridden actor with a confused, syphilis ridden actor..
Reagan is way overrated.
Tripled the national debt, "voodoo" economics, which stagnated working class incomes, passed amnesty, agricultural policies wiped out 10's of thousands multi-generational farms and left us with corporate farms that receive billions in taxpayer handouts.
It’s true he is no saint. I say he was a mixed bag. His policies did bring us out of a terrible recession & the end of America’s dominance in manufacturing. The Carter years were really bad and our outlook as a nation was quite grim. He also put the final nail in the coffin to the USSR. His accomplishments came at a terrible expense.
My response to Seran though was more about which parts of government should shrink. I’m not an anarchist. National defense is one of the primary & necessary functions of the federal government. We owe a lot of our superpower status to our military might, though I’d prefer we utilize it more wisely.

Trump is out there stoking fear and hate, trying to pretend we're not going through the strongest period of growth and employment in decades. Wonder why Republicans support this insanity.

Trump says some migrants are 'not people', and warns of 'bloodbath' if he loses
VANDALIA, Ohio — Former President Donald Trump claimed that he — not President Joe Biden — will protect Social Security and warned of a "bloodbath" if he loses in November as he campaigned for Senate candidate Bernie Moreno in Ohio.
"If I don't get elected, it's going to be a bloodbath for the whole — that's going to be the least of it. It's going to be a bloodbath for the country," he warned, while talking about the impact of offshoring on the country's auto industry and his plans to increase tariffs on foreign-made cars.
Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer accused Trump of doubling "down on his threats of political violence."
"He wants another January 6, but the American people are going to give him another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence, and his thirst for revenge," Singer charged in a statement.
Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said that Trump had clearly been talking about the impact of a second Biden term on the auto industry and broader economy.
Trump also continued to criticize Biden over his handling of the border as he cast migrants as less than human. "In some cases, they're not people, in my opinion," he said. Trump laced into Dolan, calling him a "weak RINO" — a Republican in name only — and accused him of "trying to become the next Mitt Romney." He also criticized the Dolan family, which owns Cleveland's baseball team, for changing its name from the Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Guardians.

I'm either psychic or I'm up before Seran and have already ready the Democrat script for the day.
Now that the "Bloodbath" narrative has failed miserably, the script has changed to "Bloodbath" should never be used in political speeches.
But... The Democrats were just using the term last week, so, it's pretty telling that the next 7 months are going to be a narrative bloodbath for the Democrats.
How are you this fucking gullible every.fucking.time?
I also believe it's time that our government gets out of the media business. NPR isn't needed anymore.. at least on the taxpayer's dime. They have become nothing but a place where retards like sErAn get their news.. and they purposely misled our little retard once again.
sErAn is the real victim in this story.
I'm proud of you Conservatives at least becoming aware of how problematic it is for a would-be second term 'Cheeto" to be telling folks that unless he gets reelected, democracy would end. We just need you sheeple to be able to translate that awareness into supporting better candidates.
I meant to make a post yesterday wondering how long it would be before Seran's retarded ass fell for the bloodbath hoax.
I knew you wouldn't let me down with your ultra stupidity.
Setting aside the economy being a disaster and you being os stupid that you're the only person on the planet who thinks Biden's economy is good, because you're a welfare queen and live off of taxpayer money...

The media told him what to think.. so I don't even blame sErAn anymore. He's too stupid to know better.
But the US media is running on this.. they knew what he said and the context in which he said it.. and they ran with it anyway.
Because they need Biden to stay in office to get their alt-left agenda passed.. even if it eventually destroys the very business they run now.
Here's Morning Joe having a meltdown because he's upset that most people aren't gullible retards like Seran:
https://x.com/bennyjohnson/status/17...262959925?s=20
These partisan media hacks… So I guess just last week when they all called it a bloodbath at the RNC after Lara Trump took over, we should all take that to literally mean that they were slaughtering people. And yet they wonder why mainstream media is on a sharp decline in viewership.
Lol, this is the guy Republicans are hoping will upset the vote turnout for Biden by siphoning away votes? This guy is a science denier who speaks like he's having an active stroke.
https://youtu.be/umYOY8c5IYo?si=0eNX5z_vDux9FRXi
Biden is siphoning his own votes away because the only people left who support him are massively retarded NPCs like you who live on welfare and have 0 ability to think.
Just think Seran (this is rhetorical because you're incapable of actual thought), if Biden wins, that's going to negatively affect your welfare checks that you've relied on for your entire adult life due to being a gigantic loser.
Anyway...

Trump is selling Bibles on his website. The site says, "This is the only Bible endorsed by President Trump!"
Not sure how it differs from the Bible we grew up with. Perhaps, because of Trump's special circumstances, it omits the commandments about adultery and stealing.
You are definitely what the late great Notorious BIG would refer to as a “playa hater” back in the 90s.
Have you ever considered dedicating your life to some other purpose beyond seething in hatred over a politician that isn’t even aware of your existence? Perhaps it would be the best thing that ever happened in your life to buy the Bible that Trump is selling & read it.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The sister of murder victim Ruby Garcia said she and her family were home watching live, in disbelief, as former President Donald Trump told an audience in Grand Rapids that he had spoken with “some of her family.”

The Middle East is what happens when you have a limp wristed foreign policy like we have now.
What would a stiff-wristed policy look like?
When Trump was President, Iran hit a US air base with 10 missiles, injuring 34 American soldiers. Over the following days, Trump's statements evolved as follows..
- First, Trump claimed that Iran had called him in advance and said the missile strike would be for show and no missiles would hit the US base, and Trump said that, in fact, no missiles had hit the base.
- Later, Trump acknowledged that a few missiles hit the base, but he said no soldiers were injured.
- Still later, Trump said the soldiers just had headaches and were not seriously injured.
- Then, we later learned, when the Pentagon told Trump that soldiers were seriously injured in the attack, the White House blocked Purple Hearts so that there would be no publicity to conflict with Trump's false public statements.
- Finally, after Trump left the White House, the Pentagon was able to award the soldiers the medals they had earned.
Trump never explained why, if he knew of the attack in advance, he did not warn the soldiers at the base. Is that the kind of foreign policy leadership you want?
You'll forgive me if I just don't take your word for it... much like I didn't take your word for it when you made the claim that the southern invasion started under Trump. When I corrected your bullshit with actual facts and numbers, you quietly slunk away.. like you always do. You tried to double down.. but got double slapped for being stupid.
So.... do you have a site source for this fantastic media story you just posted?
I hope so.

don't forget that the only reason Biden hasn't gone to trial for anything is because he was deemed mentally unfit.

In before Seran says some colossally retarded shit.
Biden literally has no idea what he is doing... ESPECIALLY in an election year.
https://www.kiplinger.com/taxes/bide...gains-tax-rate
And before you say "OMG IT'S JUST A TAX ON TEH RICH!" let me give you a little history lesson:
Federal income tax was first proposed in the early 1900's as a "tax on the rich"
The troubling part of Biden's tax plan is the unrealized gains... so you are paying taxes upon stuff you just own but has gone up in price.
So if you purchased a home for $300K and put some sweat equity into the home, bringing its value to $500K, suddenly you owe money on the net $200K gain.. even though you still own this home.
What a colossal fucking shitty proposal. Anyone who votes yes for it needs to be voted out of office.
Why bother investing in a 401k or anything for that matter that appreciates. It's the dumbest possible thing any politician could propose, unless their goal was to get everyone on the government tit or for everyone to die broke and homeless.
Edit to add; Also, great way to destroy generational wealth so that the poor stay poor and the middle class becomes poor.

Retard.
Obama wanted to tax unrealized gains on 401Ks back in the day, and Biden is just a regurgitation of that same policy that failed to pass then. Democrats see that untapped sweet wealth building for regular Americans and want to pillage it for taxes before a person retires.
Obama:
https://www.cnbc.com/2014/03/18/obam...1k-savers.html
Biden:
https://www.usfunds.com/resource/the...ealized-gains/
If you don’t like either of those, Google Obama/Biden unrealized gains and you can pick your source.
And before you go on to say this only impacts people with millions in their retirement accounts, if such a thing were to pass the next thing to promptly happen would be to expand to everyone else just like income & capital gains tax historically did. How about instead we just cut the budget of the federal government & reduce wasteful spending?
You seem to be missing the part where it is seeking to close unintended tax loopholes benefiting the 1% of wealthy individuals making an excess of $10-$100 millions. Perhaps you support a two tier tax system that allows for the wealthiest few to dodge taxes, but I don't.

Mark Hamill was always a B movie actor and just got REALLY lucky to be cast in Star Wars. Name a movie he's been in besides Star Wars or related to Star Wars. He's nothing. Go watch his "acting" in Star Wars, he was terrible.
Hamill was given the role as Luke simply because he had the "Pop teen hunk" look for the 70's. After Star Wars was released that look was starting to fade and they regretted having him play the role of Luke. If not for Darth Vader, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and the cutting edge filming, Star Wars would have flopped.
I probably saw Star Wars at least 7 times in the theater, I was a fanatic until after half way through Empire Strikes Back then the entire series went down hill from there. Return of the Jedi was a huge letdown considering how long we used to have to wait between releases. Nearly every scene that is Luke oriented is cringe shit that makes the character of Luke feel like a giant fucking crybaby.

Any bets on how long it is before Lt Colonel Pruden faces disciplinary action discussing details about the defensive weaknesses of Israel?
Quote:
US Marines official: Nearly half of drones IDF shoots down are its own
The IDF is shooting down a significant number of its own drones in the course of operations, The War Zone (TWZ) reported Thursday, citing a US Marine Corps official.
According to Marine Lt.-Col. Michael Pruden, the IDF destroyed 40% of its own uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).
Pruden is head of the Marine Air Command and Control Integration Branch of the Air Combat Element Division within the service's Combat Development and Integration Command (CD&I).
"Something interesting that comes from Israel, 40 percent, 40 percent (this figure was repeated for emphasis), of the UASs ... knocked out" by Israel are instances of "friendly fire," Pruden said during a talk at the annual Modern Day Marine exposition on Wednesday.
He did not provide any additional details of this statistic, including a timeframe, according to TWZ. However, he did imply that this data comes from operations in the Gaza Strip in the current war against Hamas.
While discussing possible reasons for this number of friendly drones that are knocked down, Pruden said, "As Israel's engaging in Gaza, and they're on their front line, they see a small UAS; what are they going to do if it's not identified immediately? They're going to shoot it down."
Pruden said this is the default course of action because the time between when a drone might be detected and when it could execute an attack is usually measured in "seconds."
Pruden clarified that the IDF has also previously acknowledged accidental knockdowns of its drones. Since the IDF has one of the world's most advanced integrated air defense systems, if this is an issue for Israel’s military, it will likely be an issue for other militaries worldwide.
The US Marine official highlighted a related communication issue in the US military. "How am I putting a small UAS in the sky, thousands of these things, and not telling anybody about it, especially your ground-based air defense and counter-UAS [elements]?"
Pruden sees these mistaken interceptions as a problem that will only increase as the number of drones flying through the air increases in volume.

“Right now we have, you know, young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is.”
-Gov. Kathy Hochul
Dafuq did she just say?
It's on the same level of "They can't vote because they don't know how to get an ID!" -Democrat playbook, page 1 of why we can't have voter ID laws.
This will be used to give free computers to black people because they're not as smart as our liberal women....
It's racist to assume no black child knows the word "computer", yes. Even black leaders have called out her racist words.
This is right up there with Biden's "Poor kids can be just as smart as white kids." When you assume an entire race of people don't know the meaning of a word or are poor, that makes you a racist. Being a Democrat doesn't give you a right to act racist and not get called out for it.
