70,000 evacuated from the Kabul airport in the past week, epic. Our military has had a command performance thus far and with a reported 1,500 Americans left in the country, scarcely 10% of the original figure it looks like success is near.

No surprises that the briefing generals and stage department reps have been cagey on just how those outside of Kabul will be taken home from the country, I'm guessing as little information as possible to the Taliban is their goal.

Pretty sure most of them were contractors or aid workers or worked at the embassy. I doubt very many were just there for shits and giggles.
