Just got out of a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG ass meeting trying to track down some "missing" cash on a customer's G/L...their book keeping is about as fucked up as a football bat and this shit they are trying to track down is months old, they only care now because their year end is next month.
Jumping from that into a customer that fired their "IT" guy and he was the one that ran all their month end reporting and gave it to the various departments (A/R, A/P, G/L etc). Trying to recover that for them and they tell me "Well due to our security policies we wiped his laptop that had all his templates, queries, etc. you can redo all that right?"
Sure can, and it's going to be expensive.
