tl;dr version: Dude qualifies as an alternate in the Olympics in May, AFTER he qualifies three women come forward claiming he committed sexual misconduct against them EIGHT freaking years ago. The "U.S. Center for SafeSport" (whatever the fuck that is) suspended him from fencing meaning he wouldn't be able to compete in the Olympics. An arbitrator overturned that suspension so he can compete in the Olympics but "USA Fencing" said he can't stay with his teammates at the Olympic village, he can't train with his teammates, and he has to stay at a hotel 30 minutes away from where the Olympics are being held.

All because three women accused him of sexual misconduct AFTER he qualified for the team and claimed the misconduct happened EIGHT years prior.

Imagine a straight woman getting mad about a gay man marrying his roofer because “there are plenty of available women.” Imagine me trying to explain to get that he was never interested in women in the first place and it is no different than complaining about straight women not wanting other women.
