Bro you really need to look in the mirror. Both parties primarily vote party line, but dems have it on lock down. When in power, they never deviate. Republicans have a handful of people who buck the trend, which sucks for republicans because then big things don't get passed. But really, everyone is a loser because regardless who you voted for, they aren't representing you or me, just whatever their lobby tells them to do.

I won't disagree with you that that has been happening more and more as we get more polarized. And yes there are many Democrats behold into big money interests as well as Republicans. No debate there from me.

But I will say that Democrats at least push for more social welfare while Republicans push for business welfare.

I agree.

On the Big Beautiful Bill, I kinda do get the holdouts in Republican Congress. They aren’t wrong in saying we need to be fiscally responsible by balancing that bill with further cuts to the federal budget. The $3T estimate adding to our deficit over 10 years does not properly account for economic growth as a direct result of the tax savings though. Border security and tax cuts are good for the country, and at least we’re doing something to address illegal imigrants and able bodied unemployed citizens from needlessly drawing on Medicaid and other social services designed to help only the most marginalized economically challenged citizens. Anyways, while I would favor further cuts in government spending I hope those hardliners in the Senate will see the forest for the trees.

Businesses create jobs, social welfare creates leeches. Many businesses repay the debt. No social welfare recipients ever do.

1) American Recovery and Reinvestment Act - Corporate handout by Obama
2) TARP - Started by Bush, but extended by Obama
3) Obamacare - Insurance, pharmaceutical and healthcare providers made a fortune on that.. at the cost of the US taxpayer
4) CHIPS and Science Act - Direct grants and incentives to private corporations
5) Inflation Reduction Act - Corporate handouts
6) Renewable Energy subsidies - Democrats love handing out money to "save the planet" Billions given to their pals with little or nothing to actually show for it.
7) Biden Infrastructure Bill - 1.2 TRILLION dollars flushed down the toilet
