I was going to make a despanal-hued gown for one of my characters too, still doing it.

I'm sensing a new fashion trend!!
Ooooh does this mean I can dust off my carmine velvet gown with despanal beadwork straps?
I've been on a "-hued" streak lately.. and despanal-hued is HOT.
Brand new outfit for tonight's Erithian gathering. Pity all of the stuff has been altered. It's flipping hard to shop for Erithi!
She appears to be an Erithian of the Nathala Dai.
She is very tall and appears to have come of age. She has vivid, sharply slit-pupiled malachite eyes and translucent pale skin. She has waist-length, sun-gilt cedar red hair falling in unfettered silken layers to the small of her back. She has an oval face, a small nose and delicately curved ears.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a teardrop blood agate elothrai falling from draped sanguine eahnor chains, a many-layered robe of trailing sheer cinnabar silks, a twice-wrapped onyx silk sash, a lustrous jet silk pouch brocaded with tone-on-tone chrysanthemums, and a pair of cardinal silk divot-toed shoes.
Gretchen
Erithian in her pretty new outfit and with pretty new features.
You see Mayuko the Warrior.
She appears to be an Erithian of the Nathala Dai.
She is average height and appears to be youthful. She has slit-pupiled silvery monsoon blue eyes and freckled skin. She has long, silky amaryllis red hair that cascades to her knees save for two thin braids at each temple. She has a delicate face and delicately curved ears. She has a graceful, willowy neck.
She is in good shape.
She is holding an alabaster steel magari-yari in her right hand.
She is wearing a gold-chained banded agate elothrai, a silk-strung banded agate cabochon, a sleeveless deeply-folded ginger linen robe slit to the waist on both sides, a calf-length creamy raw silk tunic, a raw silk sling, a multi-wrapped layered silk sash, a pair of loose honey-hued linen pants bound from knee to ankle with creamy raw silk, and a pair of divot-toed ginger raw silk shoes.
Elothrai
Deep honey, ginger and cream swirl and bleed into one another creating a whirlpool of hues in the heart of this coin-sized agate. Framed and held in place by a thin gold chain, its rich hue enhances the traces of bright gold that dance throughout the oval cabochon's smooth surface.
I tried to make it to match the cabochon that I received from another.
cabochon
Tight knit swirls of ginger, gold, and honey create spiral vortices that dance across the surface of the cabochon and are reminiscent of a whirlpool. Etched at the heart of the stone is a nautilus shell, its tubular length accented by the curving bands. A braided cord of bronze, gold, and ginger silk is looped through a bronze circle set into the back of the piece, while a tiny missive is etched just beneath.
There appears to be something written on it.

In the Erithian language, it reads:
The harmony of sea and land seeps into the spirit of the Nathala.
Tunic
Slits from waist to hem and wide, fluidly draping sleeves accommodate for ease movement in this garment. Tone-on-tone lotus embroidery and delicately looped honey silk frogs fasten diagonally from the low-collar to just below the right breast, adding simple, but elegant ornamentation to the utilitarian tunic.
magari-yari
Lacquered a stark white, the tall birch haft is ornamented with gold flourishes that wind their way up toward three blades of expertly folded steel. The center blade is nearly two hands'-lengths and tapers to a wicked point, while the side blades sash its base, curving upward to form a crescent of gleaming metal. A ribbon of ivory silk adorns the weapon's joint, tied off to leave a fluttering streamer. Braided into the ribbon's center is a rectangular blue lace agate talisman etched with Erithian runes. A faint aura of holy light radiates from the magari-yari.
There appears to be something written on it.
In the Erithian language, it reads:
Nathalene Sorrow
You see Lady Michiko al'Lunacen.
She appears to be a Half-Sylvan.
She is short in stature and appears to have come of age. She has long-lashed, expressive twilight blue eyes and smooth, creamy skin. She has long, silky raven black hair that flows smoothly down her back, curling at the tips to brush against her hips. She has a finely contoured symmetrical face, an upturned nose and wide hips. She has petite, upswept ears that taper to delicate points.
She has a series of intricately etched slender silver rings in the ridges of both her ears.
She is in good shape.
She is holding a pallid silver mirror framed with a twining pattern of eahnor sephwir leaves in her right hand.
She is wearing a brushed ebon suede cavalier hat adorned with a cream-banded duck feather, a delicate silver silk choker, a high-collared slim black velvet longcoat flared at the hips, a hip-length ivory silk tunic fitted with a deep violet suede cincher, a mosaic-inlaid thick silver cuff, some snug ebon kidskin leggings, and some calf-high violet suede boots with spiraling piercework.
The hat's one of the ones from the 2004 Dhu runs. I'm going to see if I can get the feather altered. Tunic is pinworn and holds VLA, yay!
leggings: The kidskin is dyed such a deep black that it lends the smooth fabric a subtle violet sheen, akin to a raven's feather. Small silver crescents cap the ends of the ivory cording woven through onyx grommets along each leg, allowing the garment to be tightened around the legs for a snug fit.
^
The leggings were designed by Callaine.
Cuff: The heavy cuff is sectioned into four jeweled scenes. The first is a spider formed of garnet shards, nestled within a web of silvery veniom. The next features slivers of tigerfang crystal resembling a clenched fist, edged with sanguine eahnor. Strips of near-translucent onyx create the hazy image of a figure in shadow against the backdrop of silver for the third scene, and the final segment holds tiles of green jade inset into a lifelike raven, its head tilted as if gazing into the distance.

Most emo alter ever, if you know who the four are.
I like the Emo cuff, very nice.
All's been seen before save for the choker, which was just done the other day:
You see Jesae Jiin.
She appears to be a Sylvankind of the Lassaran D'ahranal.
She is shorter than average and appears to be in the bloom of youth. She has vivacious, bronze-sparked olive green eyes and sun-blushed fair skin. She has hip-length, champagne blonde hair secured into a spiral knotted bun by some porcupine quill hairsticks. She has a delicately sculpted face, an upturned nose and slightly-curved, naturally tinged pink lips.
She has a faint curl of tattooed jade smoke at her nape that rises sinuously up her neck.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a jewel-tone mosaic gemstone choker, a blazing white linen robe embellished with an intricate spill of peridot beadwork down the forked train, a loose dark green silk tunic with a square neckline, a lattice-woven raw linen bag, some hip-slung chocolate silk pants which flare out dramatically as they reach the calf-length hem, and some low-heeled cocoa leather boots.
look choke
The most vivid colors in the spectrum have been used in this piece. Threaded on a chaotic web-work of silver filament, no two gems are of the same color, or cut. Some stones are faceted, others cabochon, and some are just left in their rough natural form. None bear a typical shape; either obtusely or acutely angled on various sides to create an unusual fit for the other surrounding stones in this puzzle of a neckband.
I really loved the peridot on your gown, it's so underused, and I just loved that outfit. I was checking out the choker but I'm so glad you showed it off..it's great.
