Yes.. and look how spectacular they've done at a small slice of the healthcare pie. Now, we just gave them the whole thing.. BUT THIS TIME THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT!
LOL @ your "ZOMG AYN RAND!" bullshit. We're missing "Iraq" and "Racist" and you could have hit the trifecta.Quote:
In addition, private industry has done absolutely fuck all for reducing costs. It's just not going to magically happen no matter how much you wish for it. It's more inefficient than any of your Ayn Randian nonsense. And Ayn Rand sure as heck used Social Security to survive.
The ACA has done NOTHING to address reducing costs. This is an ill conceived, poorly designed and laughably implemented law that will ultimately fail hard... but hey, let's get behind it for Obama! YES WE CAN!
Let me be a Republican now. More people putting "skin in the game" and getting coverage will reduce costs/pressure on the rest of us. It's just the same as when the Heritage Foundation, Newt Gingrich, Bob Dole, and Mitt Romney said it.
When I have somebody spouting Objectivism and talking about how Libertarianism would save us/is the "real America" of course I'm going to talk about Ayn Rand. Not talking about her would be like having a discussion about Christianity and ignoring Jesus and the Bible.
So, you believe it's working for Social Security?
Really?
I just find it humorous that you use "Ayn Rand" as often as you do... especially in the context of "She used social security!". I bet she also used the post office, a highway and paid her taxes through the IRS. OH NOEZ!Quote:

With your misguided logic, since I don't agree with Social Security.. I should stop paying into it every month.
I'm sure you've read the whole thing explaining why that is... specifically that Medicare outlays wouldn't be reduced by the ACA resulting in less spend in one area, and more in another. I'm sure you realize the CBO says it will increase the deficit if we stop the ACA because about a trillion dollars of revenue, via penalties and taxes upon the American public, wouldn't happen? I'm sure you also realize that the CBO states, in plain English - "The ACA contains a set of provisions designed to expand health insurance coverage, which, on net, are projected to cost the government money" http://www.cbo.gov/publication/43471
If you read their two paragraph disclaimer at the bottom, you'll also see they basically say "and all of this could change because it is so complex and we have no confidence that defunding one thing won't stop the gov from spending it somewhere else"
Fun fact: if you exclude the 1 (no associated letters), the federal Obamacare hotline 1-800-318-259 is 1-800-FUCK-YO
To be more precise, it would be 1-800-F_U_CKOU
Politicians' trolling of Taxpayers at its finest.
