Oct 11, 2018 - President Trump said Thursday that “it would not be acceptable to me” to block arms sales to Saudi Arabia in response to the disappearance.
Maybe he could start by blocking arms sales to the country responsbile for 9/11, for funding ISIS, and for literally kidnapping, torturing, mutilating and disposing the body in acid of a US citizen and journalist. But he can't because he's so financially entangled with the Saudis.
Amazes me how most Democrats always want to turn on our allies yet at the same time give billions of dollars to our enemies. Almost as if you hate America. Weird.
Note: I'm not saying we should do nothing if the allegations about the murder are true, but at least pretend to have some consistency with your stances.
Iran funds terrorism all over the region, murders dozens of their own citizens for protesting, and wants to build a nuke while screaming "DEATH TO AMERICA AND ISRAEL!"
Democrats' response? "Let's give them money and make it easier for them to get even more money by lift sanctions!"
Saudi Arabia supposedly murders some journalist.
Democrats' response? "Before we even see any evidence let's punish Saudi Arabia!"
They've changed their story several times. Originally they said it wasn't there, when they were caught they said "Oh, they were just supposed to detain him and it escalated into a fight" and now they are saying it is "premeditated but by rogue operatives." Either way, the shit happened on their embassy, and rogue elements or not, they tried to destroy the body and cover it up. In a court of law, the Government is in the VERY LEAST an accessory to murder.
Again, the Government changed their story from a very real, sanctioned attempt at kidnapping him to rogue operatives and premeditated murder. And they Government certainly helped destroy the body. You don't murder a guy in the middle of an Embassy, move his body to the Ambassador's house, and stick it in a vat of acid. The Government knew exactly what was going on. Even Trump said he isn't buying what the Government is saying. You shouldn't either.
However, I do believe that Turkey should take the lead on this, as they've been doing.
That is just it. Their story ISN'T true. The already admitted to wanting to kidnapping, fully sanctioned and originally said he died in a fight from that fully sanctioned kidnapping attempt. They THEN changed it to say that it was premeditated murder and that it was rogue operatives. The Saudi Government is lying its fucking ass off. If you read everything out there about this it is very easy to see.
I don't understand why you can think it isn't sanctioned when someone gets murdered in their embassy and then dissolved into a vat of acid and the Government does absolutely nothing about it except create multiple false stories and lie.
And even regardless of all of that, the Government very clearly played a roll in covering it up. That is accessory to murder.
US should have cut ties with house saud years ago. Good to see the Pentagon is slowly doing it.
Once again, you're prescribing my own political beliefs to me. You're not arguing with me. You're arguing against a stereotype of me. You ignore the point I make, make up a point to argue against it, and then argue it. Do you have any idea how blatantly retarded your strategy is?
Remember when you said Tgo said Obama degraded the office of the presidency, he showed you a post where he said Obama “lowered” the office of the presidency, you tried to argue semantics, got proven wrong again, and then you were like “just like when you denied saying Obama lowered the office of the presidency right?” thinking you caught him in some gotcha moment but instead just proved once again how incredibly stupid and full of shit you are?
Good times.
Oh please, you're so transparent it's not hard to see right through you.
Were you an Obama supporter? Did you support him giving Iran billions? Did you support him removing sanctions from Iran?
Careful, the always outraged far leftists of the board are watching.
What the fuck is wrong with these kids? And the school that allows shit like this to foster?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that since A) you posted it and B) there's no context, plus the fact that you posted it, that it has nothing to do with Nazis or white supremacy or any of your other soy hipster buzzwords.
Dude in the front row just right of the grey suit in the center is making a black power fist too. He's clearly terrible at white supremacy, as are the other ones who don't even have their hands in the air.

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES, because in German it’s known as Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung), a German think tank for its social democratic party, was slated to award the Women’s March with its Human Rights Award on November 12, but has now withdrawn the group’s nomination, according to the Jerusalem Post.

We believe that the Women’s March USA does not meet the criteria of this award, as its organizers have repeatedly attracted attention through antisemitic statements, the trivialization of antisemitism and the exclusion of Zionists and Jews since Women’s March USA’s establishment in 2017. Women’s March USA does not constitute an inclusive alliance,” the members wrote.

And yes, the counter to Antifa IS much more dangerous and violent. They're the ones being arrested and charged with murder and terrorism.
Probably because Antifa hide their faces like a bunch of cowards. Also plenty of Antifa members have been arrested, remember the bike lock professor? It's like a sickness with you, you just can't help but spread fake news as much as possible while accusing others of spreading fake news. Maybe someday doctors will find a cure for dumbassery.
Because no one on the far right hides their face? And sure, some Antifa have been arrested for assault and battery and vandalism. How many have been arrested for murder though? How many have been indicted for terrorism charges? The only fake news is you and your rather sad Baghdad Bob impersonation.
Antifa asked for a fight and got one. They don't get to play martyr now.
Good job on not knowing the meaning of the word threatening, I guess.
Proceeds to skip to the very end of Trump's statement.. :lol2:

Hitler was not a socialist. That was an argument Vishra spewed directly out of her asshole he other night in defense of one of her other fake degrees. Hitler was a member of the National Socialist party. He hated Socialism. He liked power. He did what he needed to consolodate that power, and then he had all the socialist leaning leaders of the party killed on the night of long knives, or operation hummingbird, along with other high ranking officials that threatened his power. That was in 1934. He even included one of the most important targets, one of his good friends, Ernst Rohm, the only person who had been allowed to call him Adolph rather than Chancellor, both because Rohm believed in the Socialist aspect of the party, and because he headed up a privatized army that could threaten Hitler's power.
https://i.imgur.com/jodFOSP.jpg
Hitler hated communism. He was part of the Ant-Communist movement. He didn't hate Socialism. There is a difference. The Nazi party believe in what is called Nationalist Socialism. He wanted the Government to control most aspects of life and for the Government to provide for its people. He even championed the People's Car, which later turned into the Beetle.
https://scontent.fbtr1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...cd&oe=5C6BF5BC
Just who do white people think they are, trying to help other people out and shit?
FUCKING NAZIS!!!!!!!11
All of the socialist leaning leaders of the Nazi party were killed on the night of the long knives. You know what other government types believe that the government should control most aspects of life and provide for their people? Most of them. Including dicatorships and monarchies. Volkswagen is a private company, and yes, it was backed by the Worker's Front and Adolph Hitler, and the Beetle was meant to be a car that every German could drive. Those things are true. The company was also made in 1932 by the party, a full two years before Hitler had all the Socialists killed off. The Beetle was a project after that, and an important one that helped ramp up German production capability for reasons that would become apparent in just a few short years.
But post 1934, Nazi-ism had almost no socialist aspects left. One of the few holdouts was healthcare, more specifically the smoking awareness campaigns and bans. Nazi-ism under Adolph Hitler was an extreme far right leaning fascist organization. The only thing Socialist about it was the name, but I don't hear anyone accusing the Democratic Republic of Congo of being a Democracy.
Again, it had plenty of socialism. You can tell by grand projects he created, such as the autobahn and the people's works, and the plans he had after the war ended. Socialism and communism are completely different things. Hitler was very much Anti-Capitalist as well. You can be socialist and fascist, they do not block each other out. One is a governing style, another is an economic style.
Again, he was in favor of a socialist economy. Fascism and socialism can (and often have) co-existed. Germany was going away from being a capitalist state under Hitler. I mentioned communism, because you said he hated socialism, which wasn't true. He hated communism. And Capitalism. Capitalism was actually one of the things he blamed for the economic woes of Germany when he took pwoer.
No. Sorry. You're incorrect. Authoritarian Anti-capitalism is not the same thing as socialism. Below are several sources. Take your pick. Hitler used Socialism as a carrot, and then beat all its proponents to death with a stick as soon as he had power. Nazi Germany was a Fascist dictatorship. It was a Germany-first economic model using privatized companies, but privatized companies run by the "right" people as viewed by those in power. I'm sick of both sides of the political debate in this country comparing each other to Nazi Germany. Neither one of them is correct, and they all take an incorrect view of history.

Except all the times he said he WAS a socialist. You keep bringing up Night of the Long Knives. That was the most radical of socialist he killed, not all of the socialists. Again, look at his economic model. It was socialist. Look at his plans for Germany after the war. It was socialist. It was a new kind of socialism, but if you look at the basic tenets of what Hitler was trying to build the economy into, it was socialism. It was a socialism where the economy was very closely controlled by his centrist Government. There were no labor unions, because they wouldn't need them. The Government would care for its people. It paid for free vacations for German citizens. It was a socialism that put the state first, but it was a socialist economy all the same.
I like that you just posted the first 5 links you saw on google search though.
Gee I'm sorry that I gave you sources for all of the things I have mentioned here. I'm even more sorry you were able to find them on google. I'm sure your plan of "Just go look at the other things I'm not going to cite because they don't actually support what I'm saying" is a much better plan. Only history is on my side. You have a much higher power - wishful thinking.
Yes, I have, and many others. In fact, I'd say that a large portion of my education focused on Western European history. And the reason I say that is because my education was in fact focused on Western European history. Regardless, you and I are not far apart on what we're saying. You're just saying socialist and I'm saying despotic. The differences at this point are academic. Hitler said the word socialism a lot to get into power. He didn't do a lot of things that were socialist. Maybe he would have done things that were socialist in the future despite that being the exact opposite of his MO by every action he took. But he didn't, and then he died. What we have to go on is what he did. And what he did was kill anyone who leaned socialist once he took power and then mobilize the country into a war machine.
He wasn't Donald Trump or his supporters.
He wasn't Bernie Sanders or his supporters.
He was a whole other kind of asshole that did a lot of things that don't easily make catchy twitter zingers.
Trump supporters are out there flying Nazi flags and giving the heil Hitler salute while shouting, "Heil Trump!".
Except that they are not.

It's actually really surprising, reading that, to learn that Tampa's schools are progressive as hell. I lived in that area for a while. That is largely not a really progressive area. That seems like a rock and a hard place kinda thing, from reading it too. They're trying to treat everybody equally regardless of whatever, but there are so many potential holes to fall into with that situation, both legal and moral.
That makes sense, yeah. I think the thinking though was that their directive, probably from their board, is to not discriminate against the wishes of someone based on their sexual orientation or gender. If you segregate the population, even if that population is just one, there's a legal basis to claim discrimination. Rock and hard place. They take the discrimination and segregation stuff pretty serious in that area. Just down the road from Tampa is Brooksville, which I believe was one of the last towns in the country to fully desegregate...sometime after 1970. At least that's what I was told when I lived there. I'll have to look it up to be sure.
Hence...being between a rock and a hard place... Especially with a hot button issue. They tried to please everybody, which obviously failed, someone brought a highly politicized issue to the media, the whole thing blows up, and yeah it'll probably be the teacher that takes the brunt of it. The teachers union in Florida sucks. In a choice between "punish teacher for not obeying a directive" and "become national news/circus and potential lawsuit by transgendered person's family", "punish teacher" is gonna win just about every time.
I'd assume that the transgender kid's family accepts that if their kid identifies as a male and wants to change in a male bathroom, they're going to be interacting with males and male teachers.
As far as monitoring/supervising the locker room, the only way I could see that being an issue is if the policy requires something weird like 100% eyes-on supervision. Maybe that's a thing now, I don't know, it wasn't when I was in high school / middle school. Let them change in a bathroom stall, be within earshot/sight and call it a day.

The drink part is the worst part of this "The song is about rape!"
The joke about "How much alcohol is in this drink?" "None" was being used in sitcoms just a mere 15-20 years ago, probably even much more recent. But people are insisting that this woman was drugged and raped based on that one line, which clearly has nothing to do with rape.
I mean, I'd shoot someone that was pepper spraying me and trying to disarm me. That is a very legit use of deadly force.
ONe thing though, like, I was trained to do shit after being pepper sprayed. So I know I won't freak out from it, I know how to keep functioning, etc... A lot of people, they might go nuts. I'd imagine the person that made the pepper spray post probably has that weak ass stuff though, and not the Law Enforcement/Military grade stuff.

Trump on Syria: We're leaving because ISIS is totally defeated!
Also Trump on Syria: Russia, Iran and Syria are totally upset we're leaving because now they have to fight ISIS on their own!
Remember that judge Trump referred to as an "Obama judge"? The one that poo pooed all over Trump's new asylum policies and John Roberts came to the judge's defense and claimed judges were all independent and not biased in the slightest? Yeah well John Roberts went ahead and agreed with the liberal justices on the supreme court today to uphold this "non-biased" judge's ruling.
Guess John Roberts is falling for the trap that if he just plays nice with the crazed far left they'll treat him nicely and sing his praises. How little does he know that the second he steps out of line he'll be a racist, sexist, white supremacist.

Before Trump visited the troops for Christmas the media was in a frenzy about how he was such a bad evil orange man for not visiting the troops. Now after his visit the media just can't just complaining about his visit.
First CNN bitched that there was some sort of rule broken about troops asking Trump to sign their MAGA hats.
Now the media is claiming Trump's visit was politicizing the military.
WHAT?! All you guys in the media could do was whine and bitch and carry on that Trump is the first president since 2003 to not visit troops during Christmas and now you're saying a president visiting the troops is politicizing the military?
This is what happens when you cater to a bunch of people who just want non-stop bad stories about Trump, you go from one extreme to the next in order to give your audience what they want, even if it means completely contradicting yourself in literally a matter of hours.
Cyntoia Brown, who at the age of 16 was a prostitute, was solicited by a man whom she told she was 18. The man brought her back to his house and according to her own testimony in court they didn't have sex. She then shot him in the back of the head while he was sleeping, stole his guns and stuff, stole his vehicle, and went back to her pimp. This woman was granted clemency today for some strange reason, but that's not even the facepalming part of the story.
The facepalming part of the story is how CNN worded their headline: Cyntoia Brown is granted clemency after serving 15 years in prison for killing man who bought her for sex
CNN makes it sound like the guy bought her as a sex slave, kept her locked up in the basement, and one day managed to escape by shooting her abuser and escaping with her life.
Ashley Judd gives a completely different account of what happened:

I encourage and plead with my Tennessee Governor @BillHaslam to grant #Clemency4Cyntoia. Cyntoia Brown was a victim of child sex trafficking, raped and forced into paid sexual exploitation to stay alive. She deserves our empathy and your mercy.
This whole story and her defenders make me sick.
Want to argue that a minor shouldn't be charged as an adult? Fine.I don't agree with you but make that argument.
Want to argue that 15 years in prison is long enough for someone who committed this crime at the age of 16? Fine. I don't necessarily agree with you but make that argument.
But instead her defenders are saying shit like she was forced to work as a sex worker, which very well could be true, but not by the man she murdered. Or they say shit like she was abused and her mother drank while she was in the womb and she's the victim in all of this. What? She's the victim in all of this? Not the man she killed in cold blood while he was sleeping?
I wonder what they'll say if she murders again. Probably blame the prison system for making her that way.
NYC Mayor DeBlasio is announcing that they will be offering free healthcare to all. He estimates there are 600,000 people that will take advantage of this program and be estimates they will spend 100 million.
Someone help me out here.. how are they providing healthcare for that many people and only spending about $170 a year??
I honestly hope it works out for New York City.. if it does, we should roll it out nationwide..

The proposed city-funded health insurance option would assign a primary care doctor to each plan participant and help patients find specialists if needed. De Blasio said the plan, which would be financed out of the city’s public health budget, would ultimately be cost effective by reducing hospital emergency room visits by uninsured patients and by improving public health.
It seems like the goal is to cut down on un-insured people utilizing hospital ERs for routine care. That stuff adds up. If they ran the numbers and this proposal can actually reduce costs then it's honestly pretty smart. Will be interesting to see how it pans out for NYC.Quote:
The city’s public-hospitals corporation, which was running a deficit approaching $1 billion several years ago, has reduced costs and gained revenue through the Affordable Care Act to the point where it is approaching a surplus this year, de Blasio said.
“It involves taking the money we’re spending right now and using it a lot better,” de Blasio said.
Well, yeah. Sick people use their healthcare, lol. Gotta imagine they ran various models on it and it came up more affordable to the city to do it this way than to run an ever increasing public hospital deficit.
I don't know why this is in the facepalm thread. Premature to assume it'll fail, imo.
I wonder of those 600,000 people how many of them will be diagnosed with a chronic illness. How many of them have a chronic illness already that insurance can't/will not/doesn't cover?

"I will build a great, great wall on our southern border. And I will have Mexico pay for that wall," President Donald Trump said on June 16, 2015, when he announced his White House run. "Mark my words," he said.
Americans did mark – and many mocked – those words, which Trump repeated at virtually every campaign stop after that announcement, up through the general election. But he is now arguing that he never said Mexico would pay for the wall directly.
"When during the campaign, I would say Mexico is going to pay for it, obviously I never said this. I never meant they're going to write out a check," Trump told reporters at the White House Thursday before departing for a review of the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas.
