What exactly does this Budget Office do? Cause if they're in any way in charge of determining what money goes where, I'd say they're a huge fucking failure and not to be trusted.

So then where is one to turn for accurate information? FOX News?
From the CBO site.

Overview
Since its founding in 1974, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has produced independent analyses of budgetary and economic issues to support the Congressional budget process. The agency is strictly nonpartisan and conducts objective, impartial analysis, which is evident in each of the dozens of reports and hundreds of cost estimates that its economists and policy analysts produce each year. All CBO employees are appointed solely on the basis of professional competence, without regard to political affiliation. CBO does not make policy recommendations, and each report and cost estimate discloses the agency’s assumptions and methodologies. All of CBO’s products apart from informal cost estimates for legislation being developed privately by Members of Congress or their staffs are available to the Congress and the public on CBO’s website.
All I have to say is "you motherfucking stubborn ass whiney childish cunts" to both parties and our government as a whole. They did it. The deadline has passed. I understand that the damage is somewhat revokable, but really? Is this what our nation has come to today? A bunch of corrupt self-interest only career politicians that have no real interest in actually serving the people who elected them? Is letting go of the government budget and planned office shut downs really an option? I feel bad for my children and I am ashamed.
(and this is why I try not to think about too much let alone state an opinion/feeling on politics.
The CBO is the propaganda arm of whatever party is in power. They can only produce an opinion from the information they are given by the party and that party will give them only the necessary information to "prove" they are in the right.
Obamacare is just another example of this.
This question has been asked already but it should be asked again. If you can't trust the CBO and you can't trust the lamestream media, or those liberal newspapers. Then where should we get our information? bloggers? FOX? Where? What's the answer? What makes you smarter than CNN or more educated on the minutae of the ACA than the CBO?
