Interesting thread about Trump and Mueller.

Perhaps they are not seeking election because they don’t have the support? Have you thought about that? That’s a positive thing for Trump. Ryan and McConnell need to be removed.
I think we will see the people backing up Trump and getting upset over the constant garbage the left and certain members of the right are giving. Ryan is smart to back out because the numbers show the support for Trump.
Trump won because he had the support from areas of the country where GOP support was thought to not be represented. Ryan is not seeking re-election because the support for him is not there.
Do you realize that all this anti Trump garbage has a serious opportunity of blowing back on the left? The rights that were violated by doing the raid on Cohen may be the very thing that makes the people fed up with the dirty tactics of the left.
I think Ryan sees that and realizes he doesn’t have or will have the power he seeks, so he is bowing out.
I have 937262 PhDs in this...”sweetie.” So I’m super smart, play Gemstone and never post 3 times in a row. I’m so smart you can smell it through the internet.
If his numbers are up and he had the financial backing he’d still be in the game. He doesn’t and so he’s leaving. It’s a losing battle for him. He chose the wrong side and lost.
Yeah this analysis is exactly what I'm afraid is going to happen. And Benczkowski was absolutely nominated for a reason. The good news is he hasn't yet been confirmed, and it looks like McConnell has put Judicial confirmations ahead of the rest.
Trump would likely lose a vacancies act case based on corrupt intent, but the Courts have already shown reticence when it comes to granting preliminary injunctions in these cases (ala consumer affairs bureau). I'm not sure if they would be willing to grant one here given the scant existing case law, and that leaves a lot of time/room to do long-lasting damage to the investigation.
The only hope here is that the fact that Rosenstein just signed off on a warrant to raid Trump's lawyer's office/home makes it easier to present this as retaliation. Otherwise, the average Us household doesn't know who he is or why he matters, and they're just not going to get as up in arms about it.
