You don't support puberty blockers for children? Why do YOU hate trans people?

That's not what Rocktar asked. But since you're asking I'll give 2 answers.
One, I really don't know the science behind it. I'm going to look into it today since we're on the subject. But there are decades of science behind where we are today. We have the medical knowledge and tools to help people be whatever they want to be. I very much am for allowing people to be what they want to be.
Two, I'm generally ok with children, parents, and third party experts on making those decisions for themselves. In other words allowing them the freedom to make their own decisions with all the resources available for them to make an informed one.
I know you're specifically talking about transgender here. How does society determine what they should or should not be? Is it really up to society to determine who we are? Does that mean that society determines who YOU are? If society decided you were supposed to be someone else what happens then?
Also, how do you think gender dysphoria should be handled other than allowing the person to transition?
I believe grown adults can do whatever they want to.
My issue is when parents believe their daughter seems more like a son or their son seems more like a daughter and starts pumping them full of puberty blockers in an effort to "help" them.
Gender dysphoria is real.. but it should only be dealt with after puberty and when a child is old enough to make the decision on their own.
If you're trying to suggest that parents can do this to their children without the child's or a physician's consent then that's just not happening. All three need to agree.
Puberty blockers are not available off the shelf. They require a prescription from a licensed physician and oversight by a physician. Because of the prescription and oversight gates there is no situation where a parent can give a kid puberty blockers if doesn't want them.
Your opinion on how you would deal with it in your family is completely valid. How about we allow everyone else to make their own decision?
Should a 7 year old be allowed to get full sleeve tattoos on both arms?
Do you really think some 5 year old knows what's even happening when is mom decides that he's a girl because he once used a pink crayon?
i.e. Do you think Megan Fox having what, 3 or 4 kids and they're all trannies, was their idea and not hers?
