Kerry isn't going to bring him home. Doesn't Kerry have plans to send over more troops? He's just as pro Iraq war as Bush is.

Yes, so it appears you are totally correct.Quote:

Ilvane, as for taxing the rich. LOL
80% of the taxes are collected from 20% of the "wealthiest" in the nation. The rest, 20% of the taxes come from the rest of the 80% of workers.
Let me give you a quick lesson on economy. When those top 20% get a tax break, they end up paying MORE in taxes then before the break. Why? Because they re-invest that tax break in several avenues that provide them with more income thereby making them pay MORE taxes.
Is it fair that someone in that bracket gets $2000 less in taxes then someone in the 80% group that gets $250 break?
In a word, yes.
However, taxing the "rich" will end up creating less in revenue for the government, thereby causing an even larger problem with respect to their spending.
Everyone is crying on how the economy is so bad, let me share something with you. Since 2000, the automobile industry has grown 5% in sales every year except in 2001 (9/11 mean anything to you?).
2003 and through the first quarter of 2004, Class 6-7 and 8 trucks have increased in sales nearly 25%. These are commercial trucks that are purchased by the so called "rich". Why are they buying these trucks? They've reinvested back into their companies, providing better vehicles for their employees to drive.
I've seen many small business owners expanding, adding on employees, adding on vehicles in the past 3 years that it was only a matter of time before it caught on.
Bush for 4 more years will return the economy to where we remember it in the 90's.
Ilvane, I don't know what you do for a living, but you really need to open your eyes and look around.
The economy is so robust its going to burst. Hence, the .25 and again .25 increases in the Fed.
Now, if you have run up some credit card debt, you're not going to be too happy, but overall, from my percpective, the economy is having a banner time of it in the automotive industry.
Oh! I almost forgot..
In case you're doubting me... Go read 8/13/2004 New York Times. They finally had to admit it today.

Ok... Where has he said he's sending troops home? I thought I heard him say he wanted to send more to secure it.
Bush spent the last 8 years surplus within 2 years of his term. Even on top of the war. Look it up. The cost of the war had a minor impact on our economy in the begining. We could have just stuck with Afganistan, which we successfully laid flat in three months. But no, we had to start up Iraq. The cost of this war is rising now and will only grow as time goes on. Protracted war anyone?Quote:

No, I thought I overheard on the news that he was planning on securing Iraq more than Bush has. How is he going to do this?
Simple question to answer for me Backlash, where has Kerry said he will be sending troops home from Iraq? Until you provide me with information saying this, I'm not wildly incorrect.
Just checked it out a bit. I did hear he wanted more troops. He wants more UN help though, not necessarily our military.
I still haven't seen him lay out any plan on getting our boys home, though.

Yes you are. You can't even confirm this fantasy of yours yet you “thought” you heard it “somewhere.”Quote:

Burden of proof is on you man. You show me where he hasen't said it.
You know those troops want to come home too. We all want them back home because they've more than earned it.
I'll admit I was mixed up for the part about sending more troops.
I heard him say he wants a more secure Iraq. I equated this with a stronger military presence. I wasn't aware that through his amazingly strong negotiating skills he'd be able to change the mind of the UN.
The burden isn't on me to find an article that says 'JOHN KERRY DOES NOT WANT TROOPS TO COME HOME.' heh, we both know he hasn't said that. He has said he will continue in Iraq which means there won't be any drastic change in troops there.
And yeah, I do want them home. My cousin is in the airforce (Not that he's really in terrible danger.)
