Could it be because if we started tracking just ONE DAY sooner the stats would look like this:
97.2% (3000 people) were killed by Islamist extremists
2.8% (62 people) were killed by far right wing violent extremists
This is of course ignoring the fact that your stats totally ignore violent left wing attacks since 2001, not to mention how your stat clearly ignores some Islamic terrorist attacks such as Pulse nightclub shooting and San Bernardino shooting.
But yes, do go on how the real threat right now is "far right wing violent extremist groups" killing about 3 people a year.
