Good luck trying to figure it out, PB
Obstruction of justice has been a major point of this investigation since day 1 and it's also the first part of the investigation that will be wrapped up and presented to the public/Congress.
This is a factually incorrect statement. The President may not use his powers with "corrupt intent". SCOTUS has been very clear about this. Nixon learned this the hard way as well.
Think of it this way- it's totally legal to throw old notebooks in the garbage.
And it's totally illegal to knowingly throw out old notebooks that contained critical evidence for an ongoing investigation in order to try to spare yourself jail time.
Fun factoid: while the Constitution gives the President the power to hire- it doesn't expressly grant the ability to fire. That's defined through case law and post-constitutional law.
