Wow lol really, it was the weekend and I was busy with real life things. You offered a buyout, then lowered it because I did not respond withing 24 hours. I was going through dozens of messages and missed another while seeing yours. I think my reputation is quite reputable; I'm not the type of person to delay a delivery to wait for a better offer, so maybe stop being a crybaby? I even labeled the item sold on a buyout, immediately after accepting yours, so its clear I wasn't leaving anything hanging for a few million silvers.....

I had a positive transaction with Berubeo21. Item was exactly as described.

Also had a positive transaction with Jymamon a while back.

I've actually have several people since reach out to me saying that Spert is rather shady since seeing my post, so the child-like name calling does not surprise me here. Take from the situation what you will people, I'm just sharing my experiences.

Neimanz sold me a good spear, would deal with him again.

Let's hear of these shady experiences, I'm quite interested considering this is the first time selling things again on here in two or three years.

Trying to understand. So you accepted his buyout, then found another message with a buyout offer from another interested party, then you cancelled your original agreement and sold the item to the second buyer?

I'm not gonna put their names out there since it first off isn't relevant to the facts of what transpired, and also would be rude of me to drag them into this like that. A few folks I've talked to about the situation have made comments though that you (Spert) are shady and they aren't surprised you would do something so crumby. Given not just your messages here, but your need to issue further insults to my rep comments (Which didn't move me rep at all, showing what your rep is worth) you just show yourself to be less reliable.

So for those who want to know. This is in regards to his auction in high value items, specifically, the logic daggers. When the thread first went up, I offered a BO on the daggers and the cloak as a combo deal. I misunderstood what the cloak was (Confused it with a different DR cloak) and immediately asked a question to confirm my misunderstanding, and to withdraw my interest in the cloak (before he had replied to me), but wanted to put in an offer on the daggers. Over 24 hours later, he replied to my original offer on the cloak and wasn't interested in the first offer which included it, he then replied to the second message where I asked a question on the cloak, and also had my separate offer for the daggers, and didn't comment on my offer on the daggers. I continued to watch the thread over the next day, and the daggers were getting very little action, and were at a price well below my initial BO offer.

I then messaged him again about my offer to BO the daggers, but since he had ignored my original offer without comment, and the daggers had received no bids in over a day, I reduced my offer. I stated that I was not interested in auctions, that I didn't want that message to be ignored for over a day, like my previous ones, or to be shopped around, and thus gave him a deadline of Sunday afternoon to reply, else I'd consider the offer rejected. Early Sunday afternoon, he sent me a message accepting my reduced BO. When i saw it and replied a couple hours later to set up delivery, he responded several hours later saying he couldn't today, but would do so on Monday due to RL issues. I said no big deal, and to message me when he was available Monday.

Monday morning I get on and have a message saying he had another offer that was higher, and he was going with it, and cancelling our deal and saying he had accepted the other offer. I acknowledged his reply with a simple "Right." and then made my post here. I then told several friends about it, in the details as above, and those who knew Spart said he was shady and they were not surprised, but agreed that what had happened was a definite breech of merchant etiquette.

While it still would have been very shady no doubt, if he had come to me and asked if I would raise my offer to match what he told me the final offer was, I very likely would have due to my interest in the item. He had already said he had accepted the other offer though, and I didn't want to put someone else in a crappy spot by having him renege on them as well. I do feel it is important though to make people aware of this behavior so they can make informed decisions when buying from him in the future. When he had asked to delay delivery, it did raise those little hairs at the back of my neck, and thankfully because of that I did not go out and make a deal to buy the orb I would need to finish the daggers, because if something happened I wouldn't want to treat them this way, since the orb would no longer be as useful to me.

Now to await my next neg rep from him, calling me some other name, seems to be a pattern.

Side note, was I the only one who realized those logic daggers had to have a higher bonus than was listed?

Two daggers, 3 orbs, all were counted as STAT.

You still have brought no proof of my shadiness besides your own particular opinion as well as "a few folks", so take your fake news elsewhere. Think of instant replay in football ect; you go back and look at what happened and you make the right call, in this case the right call is the person who messaged me first. I messaged you saying that i'm sorry but that I had missed a previous message in a conversation that I was having with another party. My auction, my items, my rules. Shady would have been for me to ghost you or make up some kind of lie, telling the truth is not being shady.

To be fair, you agreed to a deal then backed out of it for no good reason. Shady may be a bit harsh, but it's not great merchanting. The "my auction my rules" argument doesn't really help your case.
