Oh I'm not denying that this hand gesture has been around for a very very long time. Of course not. You're being obtuse to pretend that Milo, and Richard Spencer and others aren't using it differently. Not just as a shout out to their racist followers (the trump base basically) but also because it's got built in plausible deniability. Like so many things in the dog whistle trumplican world. Ah, I gotta admit it. Hand signs do mean different things to different people. Growing up I had a deaf cousin and communication was written (rarely) or signed until he got hearing aids. I just can't believe that the 'okay' sign is suddenly 'white power' forever and always. That's completely unfair for someone to lose their job over what might have been the way he holds his headphones.
