Faendryl Enclave

It just seems like pit would be the wrong word to use. Isn't that used to describe a surface area that is indented? I would think something like inset would be more appropriate.

The masquerade ball is june 6th, in the Faendryl Embassy in Ta'Illistim. This is to celebrate the opening of the Embassy. The Embassy itself is providing food and, for the evening, a place for dancing. Any costume is welcome. If any Enclave members are having trouble putting together a costume, PM me or IM me(AIM is phyrestorms) and I will try to help you out. If you provide me with a piece of clothing, I'll try to get it altered at the premium fest, but no promises.

Here is the news item for the Masquerade: The Faendryl Enclave Hosts a Masquerade Ball: The sixth of Lumnea, at ten in the evening, in Ta'Illistim, the Faendryl Enclave invites you to join with them as they celebrate the opening of the Faendryl Embassy with a Masquerade Ball. Don your costumes and get out your masks, because everyone is invited. Any costume is welcome, but for those who are interested there will be prizes for the most original costume, the most representative of Faendryl culture costume, and the most historical Faendryl figure costume. Anyone who wishes to may have an opportunity to present their costume.

Here are the prizes, if anyone is interested (Special thanks to Durakar for helping get them done and thanks to Shila for helping aquire the items to begin with)

a horned vathor mask: Stony clusters of razored black spikes pit hard wood lacquered the hue of dried blood. Beginning just below the eye-sockets, a long lupine snout thrusts outward into a snarl, revealing jagged teeth crafted from shards of onyx. Just above the eyes are two large horns formed from dark basalt shaped to mimic keratinous ridges.

an ocular oculoth mask: Deepest black in hue, the mask is circular and curves backward to give the impression of a sphere. Tiny, tentacle-like protrusions, each carved with subtle distinctions, ring the outer edges of the mask. An outsized, obsidian-fanged mouth engulfs the bottom of the mask. Scattered across the face of the mask are a wide variety of gems cut to resemble eyes of all shapes and colors. One particularly large onyx gleams brightly in the center of the forehead.

a golden verlok mask: Crafted from pale white wood, the mask has been thinly gilded. A ring of gold encircles the eye-sockets and then extends downward and out along a razor-edged beak. Concentric rings of metallic feathers, cleverly affixed beneath the gilding, spray outward across the mask. Each feather seems individually wrought and placed, and together they leave just the hint of pale wood between feather and face.

Each is enhancive, though for different things.

Pretty amazing creations! Thank you so much to Japhrimel and Durakar for donating their items, time, and effort to design these fabulous prizes. The masquerade is going to be a wonderful event and a great occasion to bring together the people of all nations for a celebration of the new Embassy opening.

You should be able to request to join. I'll check in daily (if not multiple times a day) and add those that need to be added.
