The problem is, it doesn't stand up to any legal standard of use of lethal force. She was not advancing on him. She was not armed. There was an intact barrier between them, regardless of the status of the broken glass. His life was not in immediate danger that second. It fails all the tests of using lethal force for police and for civilians. There was no trial, there was not police review and his name was not released for years and we don't have his body cam footage thanks to the Jan 6 committee.
This shoot amounts to police on one side of a barrier getting antsy and shooting randomly at protesters. You can rationalize it how you want, the guy committed murder and ought to be on trial.
