The Michigan Supreme Court took a different tack on whether or not Trump is eligible. They said that the Constitution doesn't have anything to do with who is a party nominee. It only relates to who is on the general election ballot. I assume that means Michigan would wait until after the party conventions to rule on the issue, at which time an adverse ruling could throw everything into turmoil.

The order from the Michigan Supreme Court was unsigned, and the court did not release a vote count.
Unlike in Colorado, the Michigan courts rejected the case wholly on procedural grounds. They never reached the questions of whether January 6 was an insurrection and whether Trump engaged in it.
