And for the record- the voter ID laws that Republicans have been passing have been reducing the number of acceptable IDs for voting. They're not just saying "Hey you need an ID", they're drastically- and VERY strategically- eliminating forms of ID that tend to be used by Democrats. States have taken their lists down from dozens of acceptable IDs to a small hand full. Suddenly student IDs are out, but, oddly enough concealed weapon licenses are in.
In several cases, they've also drastically reduced the number of early voting days and helped wipe out voting stations in Democratically leaning precincts. You know why North Carolina got in trouble? They specifically removed Sunday as a voting day because black Churches hold "Souls to the Polls" programs that bus churchgoers to vote on Sundays during the voting window.
These bills are comprehensive bills that serve only one purpose: to make it harder to vote (especially for people who aren't likely to vote for the ruling party in the State). THAT is what you should be worried about.
