The third guy was armed with a weapon in his hand, he didn't aim it at Rittenhouse I don't believe, but he kept walking towards him. I feel if Rittenhouse would have turned and run the dude would have killed him.

Yup. The guy pretended to surrender so Rittenhouse put his gun down, the coward then pulled a gun on him which is when Rittenhouse disarmed him.

If you see somebody with a gun walking toward you, you can shoot them. Good to know.

But only if you already have a gun yourself, in which case you should be very careful not to walk in the direction of any other person.

If you see someone chase after you to attack you, but then they hold their hands up to show "Look! I mean you no harm!" only to then pull out a pistol and point it at you after you have lowered your weapon then yeah, yeah you can go ahead and shoot them.
