Apparently a bunch of digital nomads and ex-pat retirees. A few places in Mexico are pretty nice, most are not. Think of it like this, there are some nice places in New Jersey that make good vacation spots, the rest of the state is a dumpster fire. That's Mexico. I knew a retired Navy guy that bought a house boat, cash and then moved to Central/South America. He didn't tell me where but he basically said, the cost of his boat slip, utilities, ground vehicle and insurance was less than modest rent in the US. Since he is retired, he has his pension and SS, he speaks the language and a few others and so he is living pretty well. He did say, it wasn't Mexico. Apparently, a lot of people are doing this all over the world. I might consider it except that I like guns too much despite the tragic boating accident.
